We are in the selection process on a home in my neighborhood. Selecting paint colors for the entry, dining, living and powder rooms. The client selected a beautiful rug to go with her rust colored couches and we just selected bathroom tile. A great transformation in progress!

A little throw back of my fall decor a few years back with a photo bomber! I need to bring out my fall decor but not sure I’m ready. College drop off is this weekend. I may need something to keep me busy after I get home. Don’t get me wrong I love fall. Just in denial that summer is done. Just me???

Collected design style includes incorporating things that you find and love in your decor. Think less of a theme and more of a variety of collected and curated decor.

This can be decor passed through generations or vintage items you fall in love with. Here is a vignette in my dressing room with my Audrey Hepburn hat, a “Romantic Style” book I found for $2 at a garage sale, and a silver vase with silk flowers. I brought these collected items together for one look.

I’ve been playing with AI rendering. AI is artificial intelligence. In short the computer generates the design. You upload a photo of your space and it designs the “upgrade”. Sounds cool right? Sure, if you’re just playing around. I think it will improve but currently it’s an idea generator for me. It’s not always the best ideas but it does add some element of style that I may consider. What do you think of the look this generated from my picture?

If I get at least 10 comments I’ll share the AI generated picture of my selfie. It’s an “upgrade”😄

Don’t you just love seeing a transformation of a space? Scroll to see what our fireplace looked like before and how we turned it into what it looks like today (first photo). My inspiration was the last two pictures that I found on Pinterest. I combined looks that I like and felt best represented the look I wanted. I worked with my contractor to make decisions on the tiny details and brought the vision to life!

August reminds me of days at the cottage. One of my favorite homes to style was my 700 square foot cottage. I’m here to tell you that a small cozy escape is pure heaven! This home had so much character. Every single piece of furniture came with a story. Very few items we purchased new. Design doesn’t need to break the bank!

Good morning! I’m back from vacation and ready to dive back in today. I’ll be dropping this beauty off today to see if we love it on a mantle.
