This is the rescue I got my cat Wednesday from. Without their work she’d be a homeless stray and would have probably had at least 4 litters of kittens by now. Instead she gets to be a spoiled Wendy Woo. I am furever grateful for their work. They take in really bad cases and have done miraculous work, never giving up on animals when they show fight.

I am officially announcing that I have raised my rates, as most of my clients already know. I am now charging $55 for 30 minutes, $90 for 60 minutes and $125 for 90 minutes. I would also like to make the friendly reminder that I have a cancellation policy. If you have to cancel within 24 hours (after you’ve confirmed) there is a 50% cancellation fee. As a small business owner it is crucial that I hold firm with this policy. My regular clients have been very good about cancelling and as always I am so grateful for all of you.

I am excited to announce that I am now offering sound baths. Sound baths go back thousands of years with their ability to induce a deeply relaxed state of being. Sound baths illicit a powerful vibration that has been shown to stimulate certain brain waves that promote relaxation, less anxiety and depression, and an overall sense of well-being. Studies have shown that sound baths can help improve mental clarity, stress, high blood pressure, chronic pain and migraines. My clients have had visceral experiences thus far. Sound does not ask permission, rather it goes where it is needed most as it is both a powerful healer and friend. You can book a sound bath as a standalone service or add it onto any service. The new office is located in a beautiful historic building filled with exquisite energy and natural light. I cannot wait to share this space with my clients. Now clients will have the option to book a session for just spirit communication and will be able to book a 30, 60 or 90 minute service. I have been receiving messages from spirit since childhood. The more I have embraced my path, the stronger my connection with spirit has grown. I am honored to bring the gift of healing through spirit to those in need. I am honored to announce that I have accepted a massage therapy position, alongside Missy Reho, in the palliative care unit at Strong Memorial Hospital. We will be offering patients a human connection through therapeutic touch and I am so humbled to have this opportunity. Every staff member I have met so far has been exceptionally kind and welcoming. I cannot express my excitement enough. I hold great reverence for the opportunity to hold space with those that require the highest quality of care as they face a very raw part of the human condition. I have felt a call to do this work for a long time, especially after hearing several accounts of patients dying alone during the pandemic. To my very special clients, thank you for your support and trusting me to hold space with you. Do not worry, my private practice will still be in full swing and all of your therapeutic and energy needs will be met. I step into this position with grace and a wide open heart chakra full of love. Going forward we will be requiring clients to be masked regardless of vaccination status in order to stay healthy. Two masked and fully vaccinated people are not considered an exposure risk according to NY state contract tracing. Thank you so much for your understanding.

I am starting my Monday with charged water. Today’s intention is set for internal balance and detoxification. The crystals I’ve used for this blend are: pink kunzite, green tourmaline, clear quartz, amethyst, and Apache tears. Be sure your crystals never actually come in contact with water. Crystals are not meant for physical consumption and some will erode. You can use any glass container with a lid if you do not have a water bottle like the one shown in my post. Simply place water in the container and set the crystals on the lid. I like to let my crystals infuse for a few hours. Self-care is not a luxury, it’s a staple to staying healthy. You should not feel guilt for taking care of your own needs. How can we be of service to others if we do not service ourselves? I try to dedicate my Wednesday afternoons to taking care of myself. Sometimes this includes receiving massage or energy work. Other times it’s simply reading a book on my balcony with my felines. If I only have a few minutes, I grab my singing bowl and a few of my favorite crystals and mediate to sound and vibrations. An area of improvement I am constantly working on is having more gentle thoughts toward myself. What is your self-care routine and what areas do you want to improve on?

One of my favorite roles as a massage therapist is tutoring students. Myology is my favorite subject following anatomy and physiology. Many people do not realize, myself included initially, how vigorous massage school is. It’s not just fluffy stuff. We learn every muscles origin and insertion, the innervation, and bones and bony landmarks all within a very short time period. Massage school was harder than most of my undergrad semesters. NY state holds very high standards when it comes to massage therapy and the board exam is no joke. The hard work we put into our education is to make us into the best massage therapists we can be and ensures that we can provide the best and safest care to our clients. I am so honored to hold this title and happy to help others in the processes of gaining it.
