Good afternoon everyone,

It is with great honor that we convene today at this law enforcement appreciation luncheon, hosted by the Turkish Cultural Center of Rochester. On behalf of as well as those dedicated individuals who tirelessly serve and protect our communities.

Today's gathering serves as a platform to express our deepest gratitude to the courageous men and women who uphold the law and safeguard our neighborhoods. Their unwavering commitment and sacrifice do not go unnoticed, and we are profoundly thankful for their service.

In the face of unprecedented challenges, our law enforcement personnel demonstrate remarkable courage, resilience, and compassion. Their dedication to maintaining peace and order, often at significant personal risk, reflects their noble character and sense of duty.

As we commemorate this occasion, let us also acknowledge the families who steadfastly support our law enforcement officers, providing invaluable assistance and understanding. Their sacrifices are equally deserving of recognition and appreciation.

In conclusion, I reaffirm our institution's steadfast support for the dedicated individuals in law enforcement. Their tireless efforts contribute to safer communities, secure streets, and brighter futures for us all. Thank you for your service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to justice.

Yesterday, we celebrated the holiday at the Turkish Cultural Center of Rochester. After the holiday prayer, we had a wonderful breakfast with our friends. Following breakfast, a Ramadan Award ceremony was held for our children. Afterwards, the kids enjoyed fun activities and received their gifts, delighting in the taste of cotton candy. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the preparation of this magnificent holiday program.

Time seems to be sprinting ahead, and yet again, we found ourselves gathered for our annual Muslim Ramadan dinner with cherished friends. This past Saturday night, we experienced an absolutely delightful Ramadan feast at the Turkish Cultural Center of Rochester, enveloped by warmth and camaraderie. The cuisine was exquisite, and the atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable evening of togetherness during Ramadan.

We had a truly fantastic Ramadan dinner on Thursday night at the Turkish Cultural Center of Rochester surrounded by dear friends! The food was incredible, and the ambiance was just perfect for a memorable Ramadan evening together.

We gathered at the University of Rochester  for a lively iftar dinner sponsored by the Turkish Cultural Center this Saturday evening. The food and atmosphere were delightful. We extend our gratitude to the University of Rochester for opening their doors to us. Additionally, we would like to thank the members of the University of Rochester Muslim Students' Association - UR MSA club for their tremendous support in organizing this event.

Turkish Cultural Center of Rochester observes Ramadan, hosts Iftar to break fasting Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) This week marks the start of the holy month of Ramadan, a time of prayer and fasting, for Muslims across the world.

Saturday was an incredible experience uniting with women from diverse backgrounds and cultures. We had the privilege of hearing inspiring stories from immigrant ladies hailing from Bosnia, Vietnam, and Afghanistan. Dr. Sarah Miner, PhD, RN, shared valuable insights on overcoming stress, adding depth to our gathering. Together, we crafted a beautiful art piece to honor Immigrant women – the Lotus flower, symbolizing rebirth and resilience. And, of course, no gathering is complete without the magic of tea! 🌸✨

Cheers to the amazing women who light up the world with their strength, grace, and endless accomplishments. Happy International Women's Day! Here's to the incredible impact you make every day. 💖✨

The ongoing tragedies in Palestine and Israel must cease. Decades of political crisis and violence have harmed countless generations. We urge the international community to denounce these acts of violence and champion human rights and justice in the region. We had a Muslim community picnic, and it was truly wonderful, even though it was raining. Despite the weather, we had an amazing time meeting new friends and reconnecting with old ones. The barbecue was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was filled with warmth and friendliness. We appreciate all those who worked hard to organize this picnic and everyone who attended, whether Muslim or non-Muslim. Thank you for making it such a memorable day of unity and togetherness! 😊🌧️🍔

Our dear brother Dr. Yusuf Bilgiç passed away on Friday, August 25th around 11:10 pm at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Janazah prayer will be performed at The Islamic Center of Rochester after Dhuhr prayer at 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 27th and he will be buried at Avon Muslim Cemetery.

His family will be accepting condolences at the Turkish Cultural Center of Rochester 2692 Dewey Ave Sunday at 7pm, after the burial service.
