🌍✨ World Refugee Day 2024 ✨🌍 We were Plot to witness the incredible bravery and talent of the refugee community. Last Saturday we were treated to wonderful dancers, singers, and drummers, along with a fabulous fashion show. Congratulations to Mary's Place LLC for us well-deserved Rochester community awards.

🎓✨ Sajjad graduated with a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor's in International Relations. From a Hazara refugee to a law graduate at Monash University, this journey has been long and challenging, but it's a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of education. Grateful to have his mother here in Australia, witnessing this moment. 💪❤️

A community event you may be interested in: This Saturday February 10 at 2pm there is a celebration of the success of Rochester International Academy students' George Eastman Museum animation exhibit. This event in the Dryden Theatre at 900 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14607 is free to all visitors.

Exploring Animation: Celebrating Animation in our Community and Collection | George Eastman Museum Experience a screening of students' animated phenakistoscope discs in recognition of their talent and hard work. Then, Curator of Film Exhibitions Jared Case will highlight a selection of early animated films from the Eastman Museum's own collection.

Mary's Place is closed Monday 1/15 in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
