This past Women's Empowerment weekend was nothing short of AMAZING!
On behalf of myself, the Legacy Drama House staff, volunteers and assistants we truly and genuinely appreciate ALL of the community's support in making this weekend an awesome success in highlighting the strength, tenacity and brilliance of Black women.
It is my desire to assist women to elevate to her highest potential beyond what she can even imagine or realize. This is done through providing high caliber, sustainable and intentional programs and safe spaces.
Events such as I AM SHE and the Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneur Expo are not for me, they are for US. We are stronger woking together through collaboration not competition.

Our Legacy...
The venue is located within the beautiful Beechwood residential neighborhood in the northeast section of the city of Rochester. The building was originally built as a performance arts theater over a hundred years ago in 1915, however it hasn’t operated actively in this capacity for several years. The theatre has recently gone through extensive interior renovations, when patrons come inside they are in amazement of the beauty of the facility and remark their surprise at this neighborhood jewel.
The theatre is owned and operated by three biological sisters who are extremely active within the community through decades of volunteer service! Their resolution is to create a space where people can host functions which includes: stage plays, fashion shows, pageants, talent competitions, band practice, music lessons, ceremonies, etc. They are extremely proud and excited to see the facility be utilized for performances by neighborhood folks that would be unable to secure a space of this caliber at their more prominent and expensive competitors. It is the owners’ desire to inspire others (in particular women and underrepresented racial groups) to become entrepreneurs and to give back to the communities from which they’ve come.
