Our History
Hepplewhite’s Interiors has been a part of downtown Rochester for 30 years. The business was established by interior designer, Mary Lujan.
The first store, GENERATIONS, opened in 1984 and was located int eh lower level behind Lytle’s Drugstore. Soon after Generations moved to main street, Hepplewhite’s Design Studio was opened to complement Generations.
In 1990, both stores were combined under the Hepplewhite’s name and moved to the former site of the Rochester Hills Library, located on University. Hepplewhite’s moved back in 1999 to it’s “roots” on Main Street, where the interior design business has flourished for over eighteen years. Mary’s talented daughter, Rebecca Lujan-Stoitsiadis has been a part of the design and management team for over 20 years and has assumed the position of managing partner and head designer.
