Some guitars ‘never’ need fret jobs !

I knew I had a birthday coming . I do so love socks and ties and cologne . But quite honestly-I seldom use them . The upside of running a guitar bizz for so long is getting the things you love all year long. It’s a bit of a continuous Christmas . When I was running the bizz full time great stuff would come and go so quick that I seldom had the time to enjoy them as I do these days . So occasionally if the price is right I still pick up things that just strike my fancy as these two little wonders have . Both are reissues and both new to me .
Love this Epi Newport short scale bass . Nifty color eh? And this RI Silvertone ( Harmony Jupiter) is just great - a much nicer neck profile and better electronics than the originals I had sold years back . Both have kept that cool vibe really well ❤️

I love that these days pretty much anyone can afford to have new versions of great vintage pieces . They’ll become ‘ inventory’ some day . But today ? Happy birthday to me !

One of the great songs of the 60s by the band Circus Maximus. This was Jerry Jeff ( mr. Bojangles Fame ) Walker’s original band, but this great songs was written by Leader by Bruno.  it brings back memories of my youth listening to my FM radio late at night to NY DJ Allison Steele ‘the night bird. It’s got all the great elements of that era, psychedelic jazz , cool 12 string acoustic solo and a very ‘heady’ feel . It was ‘ groovy mannn’ . Still is. ! Enjoy ❤️

Not everyone knows about the Waterstone company who make Limited additions of some pretty cool guitars. This one is called the Skelly base -that is definitely in that ‘Rick’ style, full scale 34 inches . Great sound and fast playing neck -and not too heavy.

-the one for sale is the blueburst one in the middle. Asking $650. Comes with hard case..
