📺 MOUSSIGNAC MONDAY | RABJ is really missing Patrick's signature head nod this first Monday in the month of December.
And so in return, we're giving a final nod to Patrick- just as he did to thank his viewing audience at the end of his broadcasts from January 2020 to early November 2023 at News10NBC ( WHEC TV ).
No word as of yet from Patrick on what's next but we'll keep you posted as he looks for new reporting opportunities in the media .
Meanwhile, let's take a moment to reflect on when he was here.
From hard news investigative reports to human interest stories, he covered it all during his time in the Flower City of Rochester, NY.
Among the stories that comes to mind while at the TV station was reporting live from the first day of school at a suburban district.
We loved how in September 2022 he added a special touch to his report - modeling a Gates-Chili School District gray sweatshirt.
And then there was a flash as always of his warm smile on that story about the first day of classes after the summer school break.
https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1485276765248087
Good luck and wishing you all the best Patrick A. Moussignac !
Sincerely from all the members of

📰 BLACK PRESS HISTORY: Friday, Dec. 3, 1847, Frederick Douglass published the first issue of "The North Star" newspaper in Rochester, NY, his adopted hometown.
On this 176st anniversary of its founding, expresses deep gratitude to Douglass for laying a foundation for us to follow.
"We are now about to assume the management of the editorial department of a newspaper, devoted to the cause of Liberty, Humanity and Progress," reads the opening line from an editorial in the famous and influential abolitionist newspaper.
Douglass - publisher, journalist, author, orator, abolitionist, statesman and social reformer- spent 25 of the most productive years of his life here and is buried in a family plot in Mount Hope Cemetery in Rochester.
🌠 ON THE BIG DAY | RABJ salutes today's (Sat; 12/02) Frederick Douglass Oratorical Contest youth participants in competition at the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site in Washington, D.C.
You are truly shining stars who have worked hard to get to here.
Annually, the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site hosts an Oratorical Contest for students 6-18 years old. Students perform a part of a Frederick Douglass speech that they learn from memory before a panel of judges. This year's contest began Thursday, November 30 and continues on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
Besides settling in Washington, D.C. toward the end of his life, Douglass lived for 25 of his most productive years in Rochester, NY and is buried there in a family plot in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Again, the Rochester Association of Black Journalists wishes each and every participant in the oratorical contest all the best today !
