Sometimes (most of the time) if there is some lift it is very LITTLE and definitely will take multiple processes/sessions to achieve a desired hair goal‼️

: “We all know the story so I don’t have to repeat it👉 This is a no judgement, safe zone👉 Box colors can have a high concentration of ammonia, salts ( that can sometimes make your hair smoke when combined with bleach) 👉 I knew that this client had box color and I took her on ( she’s been my longtime client and the pandemic 😷 happened, be kind people) 👉 What is very important is that she’s not trying to be blonde 👉she just wants to break through the stark, darkness of the box color 👉 I highlighted her with BlondMe with 7/20vol and bond multiplier for 40 min 👉 I could have gone back and processed her mid shaft and ends with 7 vol and BlondMe one more time but I chose to tone her at the darkest level she lifted to 🙌”

This is the cost of just the chemicals to do a typical service! Sure, I obviously don’t use that entire bottle of Olaplex on 1 client, but you get the picture! These products do not last very long before having to restock.

And these are JUST the chemicals!

Just to step foot in the salon everyday is an instant $50 per day
Then you have my $400ish website
My $45 booking app
A $50 box of foil
$200 bottle of the second part of your Olaplex treatment.
$1,000 shears
Shampoo, conditioner, styling products, towels, cleaning products, combs, brushes, bowels, credit card processing fees, TAXES, the list could go on & on!

The price of supplies in this industry has gone up drastically in the past year. & my most recent price increase doesn’t match the inflation of the cost of product to work let alone the inflation of everything else outside of the salon. Which means even though my prices went up, my take home hasn’t.

So please, be patient with your service providers who are raising their prices. No one is trying to price gouge & line their pockets. We’re simply just trying to stay in business.

Hello beautiful! My name is Amber Blakemore and I am the owner/stylist of ✨The Sparkle Within LLC✨
I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 2019 after schooling for 2 years, however my passion for hair runs much deeper starting when I was just a little girl! After graduating from cosmetology, I immediately started to work at Smart Style: Rock Hill location where I was able to become a diverse stylist. As we all know COVID unfortunately slowed some time down and while absent from the salon I realized my calling was deeper and I wanted to become my own hair boss! Therefore, I packed my station and started to do booth rent at Hers and His Hair Stylists in Rock Hill. I enjoyed my time at Hers and His Hair Stylist, however I once again felt the need to venture out on faith and see what newly open doors could unleash. Now I am excited to announce that I am the owner of a salon suite located at Phenix Salon Suites in Rock Hill: Suite 128! The empowerment of being a hair boss is overwhelming and I can confidently say that I am ready to step out on faith to make my salon dreams become a reality! With that being said, I would like to say thank you to my current clientele for all of your support over the years and to new clientele I want to say are you ready to let me ✨💖

This client has been using box color for years, so when she told me she decided that she wants to eventually be a blonde {of course because blondes have more fun😜}
I explained to her that it will be a process and to trust me to safely transform her hair in stages! {Stages also allows her to get use to herself being lighter without the huge change all at once which can sometimes be overwhelming}
She agreed on the game plan we created and this is the outcome of the first appointment! 🤩
