So incredibly proud to be the hands and feet of a company that cares. That allows us to step in when our community needs us and work with Habitat For Humanity of York County, Rock Hill, SC to provide the financial capacity for those without home insurance to get repairs from our most recent devastating storm in April.
I love Dr. McCorn’s (President of Clinton College) wisdom—that our Southside community is resilient but that even resilient people need friends. And what does it mean to be a neighbor—that it requires affinity not just proximity. Be doers. He referenced Isaiah 58, that we are rebuilders. Watching a community care in action.

Today, we were able to surprise Winnie Pullen, the Speech Therapist at Oakdale STEAM Elementary School with $500 for her personal use! Ms. Pullen has faithfully served at the school for the past 9 years, and she candidly shared what a healing experience her time there has been. She said the students, families, and school leaders have helped her grow over the years and she is truly thankful for her time at the school. Well, Ms. Pullen, we are truly thankful for YOU! Thank you for persevering and reminding each of us about the power of public education.

We are also thankful for Haven Miller-State Farm Insurance Agent and State Farm for continuing to support this monthly initiative for the Rock Hill Schools family. 💙
