Looks to be a simple reupholstery job although a lot of thought and detail went into bringing these chairs back to life 🌟
Elements discussed and decided on as a team (client, upholsterer and I) to get it 💯

✔️Fabrics pattern scale is the right size for the chair
✔️Cutting the fabric correctly to show the best of this beautiful ikat stripe. My upholsterer 🔨 it as always!
✔️Application of the piping
✔️Reworking of the seat cushions so that they would look and sit correctly
✔️Touching up the aged wood with stain
✔️Determining if the fabric needs an applied protection or is best to leave it be.

These are just some examples of why hiring a design professional for their detailed eye and expertise is always best. These details matter!

When you have the best sales representive who invites you to the grand opening of Charlottes boutique and showroom and introduces me to and who both were a delight to chat with! I am still diving into both their books, which are great. Thank you for capturing us and for also always being there to help fulfill orders and answer all my questions in no time. You both are great and make my job easier!

Honored this image made it into recently. Thanks to for helping me out at the eleventh hour! I only had three days to figure this shoot out and I am so happy it made the cut 👏 There is so much that goes into styling and photography in hopes that a magazine will love an image as much as you do.

So enjoyed meeting , diving into her new book now, at the opening in Charlotte. What a treat !

📣Some new followers here so I just wanted to share some things about me 📣

- Acquired my love for design at a young age from my Aunt Louise who was a designer in Greenville SC and her sister, my Mom, who has always had a keen insight on all the beautiful things from her clothes to her home.

- I was an Art History major from the College of Charleston which has always been of use in my design business, even though many said I could never do much with that degree.

- Photography was my first art expression and I loved shooting in black and white and getting dirty in the darkroom.

- I am surrounded by males at home who love to critic all things I do with our home. They are going to love the mural that will soon surround them when we eat family dinners!

- I collect belts like 🦋 seen here given to me by my Mom so if you ever see any cool ones for sale let me know.

- When I worked for Margaret Donaldson Interiors I learned the thrill of the hunt from her and Jimmy Evans ( the coolest man to ever live). My items for sale at my spaces at The Hickory Post and The Rock House Antique’s are a testament of that. Items collected for the home tell much more of an interesting story.

It’s 7° here in Lawrence Kansas. Feels like -7 when you’re outside and the wind hits. We are here to celebrate Andy ‘s birthday and see who unfortunately had to cancel from sickness. We will be back when the sun is shinning to see him in May. For now here’s a little sunny spot. ☀️☀️☀️

We are moving in couple of weeks from our house of nine years. Lots of love and great memories moving from one place to another. Follow to see behind the scenes of the changes we make along to way to our new home. Looking forward to sharing the journey with you. I know it will be a learning experience for me and I hope for you as well.

When I discovered these vintage draperies at a steal I knew just the right client that would love them! helped take off the dated Pinch Pleat heading and replace it with a Knife Pleat heading which I always prefer for how the draperies hang more freely and brings them more up to date. Can’t wait to see beauties hung soon!

“The unique beauty of Indali in citron and mineral lies in it’s faithful interpretation of the 1920s original block printed pattern. The twisted floral vines are alive with tiny embroidery like line work”


This pattern brought the right colors and depth to the clients hallway. It works well with their great art collection and choosing a geometric wallpaper in the Foyer brings the right balance to both spaces.
