Last week we had an amazing HR forum with around 56 people in attendance! We couldn’t have put this on without Brakefield at Riverwalk and Questis!

Yesterday we celebrate James Morette’s work anniversary! Super happy to have James in our commercial department!

We want to give a warm welcome to Melissa Ballard! Melissa has just joined our benefits department as a Benefit Account Specialist. Melissa spent 38 years with Piedmont Medical Center. Melissa has been married to her husband for 39 years and has 2 kids and 4 grandkids! We’re so happy to have Melissa!

CIIG staff has come together with a shared purpose: to support the children of Ebenezer Avenue Elementary School as they start the new school year. Through the collective efforts of our team, we've gathered clothing and school supplies to ensure that the children have what they need to succeed. This initiative is a reflection of our commitment to the community and to making a positive impact in the lives of these young students. We are especially grateful to Jennifer Chisam with Selective Insurance and Wyatt Walden with Mutual of Omaha for their generous contributions, which have played a crucial role in this effort. Together, we are showing these children that they are valued and supported.

We want to give a huge welcome to Gracie Wilson, CIIG’s first ever intern!!! Gracie is a business administration major at Winthrop University in her junior year. Gracie is from Rock Hill and is an assistant coach of the Rock Hill High varsity girl’s basketball team. She will be helping our finance team out and we’re so excited to have her!

Happy 3rd year work anniversary to our director of operations, Shannon Thompson! Shannon is such a positive person within our office. We’re so lucky to have Shannon!

Governor McMaster has declared a State of Emergency in preparation for now Tropical Storm Debby.

York County is currently not forecasted to see widespread impacts but it’s important to be prepared for local events including flooding, power outages, and storm-type response. Under the National Hurricane Center's current forecast, Debby is projected to arrive in the Charleston area on Wednesday or Thursday as a tropical storm after crossing the Florida panhandle from the Gulf of Mexico. We expect to receive heavy rainfall and gusty winds locally. Our main concern in York County is flooding resulting from the projected rainfall on the coast of SC.

If you own property on the coast, please begin or have someone begin prepping your home today by pulling in lightweight items (like outdoor cushions, umbrellas, grills, bicycles, and fragile or light furniture that are not bound) and making sure doors & windows are closed and secured.

Many of your homes will be occupied by rental guests during the storm. Please ask them to prepare your home for the results of Debby.
