FEATURE // We caught up with Etude Winterguard Director Brian Franco-Winn to discuss Etudeโs 2024 program, Those Days Are Gone. We discussed the feelings of loneliness that inspired the theme, the Edwardian influence on the costuming, and the joggling boards that occupied the performance floor.

Happy from the students of the BWDA! ๐๐ผ
Etude Winter Guard wishes to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mary Lynn Dorow. She has made such a profound impact on our organization, the people in our community, and the pageantry arts as a whole. She will be dearly missed.
It is with immense sadness and heartbreak that we share the passing of Mary Lynn Dorow on the morning of April 21st. Daughter of Fred and Marlene Miller, beloved wife, cherished mother of three sons, and proud grandmother to eight grandchildren, Mary Lynnโs spirit and legacy will resonate for years to come.
Mary Lynn was a towering figure in the pageantry arts, dedicating her life to the enrichment and advancement of young people. Her passion for the craft was contagious, inspiring countless students and colleagues through her commitment to excellence, joy and compassion. As a director, choreographer, adjudicator and mentor, Mary Lynn's innovative approaches and nurturing spirit helped shape the careers of many performers and educators who are now leaders in the field themselves.
As we remember Mary Lynn, we celebrate her remarkable life and the indelible impact she made on our community.
Tobias Funeral Home will be forthcoming with details. We will share all information related to viewing, visitation and funeral dates/times in the days ahead.
Etude wishes to express our sincerest gratitude to our corporate sponsors FJM โ Fred J. Miller Inc., PROPVinyls, and The Joggle Factory for their contributions during our 2024 competitive season. โThose Days Are Goneโ wouldnโt have been the same without your support!
