This depends on several different factors, like the length of your menstrual cycle, when in that cycle you typically ovulate, quality of the pregnancy test, basal body temperate changes etc. HCG is the hormone that urine and blood pregnancy tests detect. HCG begins releasing as the placenta begins to form, and this is about 11 days after conception. If you have a regular menstrual cycle, a home pregnancy test can detect a pregnancy about 4 weeks after the first day of your last menstrual period (the day you started your last period). 4 weeks after your last menstrual period is about two weeks after ovulation and right around the time you should be expecting your next period to come, if you have a 28-day cycle. Medical grade pregnancy tests can detect HCG as early as 7 days after conception or 21 to 24 days after the first day of your last period. However, women who consistently track their fertility using a fertility awareness model may determine changes in their basal body temperature (BBT) that could be one of the earliest indicators of pregnancy. As we discussed in class, not all pregnancies are viable (i.e. ectopic or tubal pregnancies), so although a pregnancy test may indicate the presence of HCG and therefore indicate a pregnancy, we cannot CONFRIM the pregnancy until we provide the limited OB Ultrasound. At Inside Connection we can offer a limited OB ultrasound at 5 weeks and 5 days after the first day of your last menstrual period.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again! A healthy relationship is a staple for a family!
Yes, you will need to be seen by a medical provider in person at some point during the reversal process. First, we would immediately schedule you an appointment at Inside Connection to meet with the registered nurse. Then, following the exam and treatment, you would be referred to your OBGYN for prenatal care.

How do you fight in a healthy way with your significant other? Because we’re all human, conflict is unavoidable but is it possible for a relationship to survive a fight?
Short answer: Yes
Are you fighting fair with them or are you taking personal jabs at them? Are you both actively listening and trying to understand the other’s perspective? Are you both willing to compromise or change?

An ultrasound is important because a scan can confirm that you have an intrauterine pregnancy and that it’s viable. The results from these scans can help determine your next steps!
