he votes are in, and Rock Springs has officially named its newest holiday tradition! We are thrilled to announce that Christmas in the Park will be the name of our upcoming holiday lighting project in Bunning Park, receiving just under 37% of the community vote. The next closest contender, A Hometown Holiday, followed with 21%. The Christmas in the Park also name honors the event that was hosted several years ago.

This December, Christmas in the Park will transform Bunning Park into a festive winter wonderland with nightly light displays, entertainment, food trucks, warm beverages, and a special visit from Santa! This exciting new event is designed to become a cherished holiday tradition for our community, growing larger and more magical each year.

Help Us Light Up the Park!
While the City of Rock Springs has earmarked $35,000 to fund the holiday lights, we are still actively raising an additional $15,000 to enhance the display this first year. We are seeking corporate and individual partners to join us in making Christmas in the Park a spectacular event for everyone to enjoy. Contributions will help bring even more lights, decorations, and festivities to the park, with plans to expand the display annually.

The community is also invited to get involved in planning this exciting event. The next planning meeting will take place at the Rock Springs Main Street/URA office on Wednesday, September 18 at 4 PM, and anyone interested is welcome to attend. Help us make this holiday season truly magical!
