I'm open for business in Rockport! It's been a few weeks, and I've settled into my new studio. Some of you have already been in once or twice, but I want you ALL to know that we will be having an Open House this coming Saturday from 3-5. There will be drinks and snacks and all 5 business will have their doors open to greet you. Come visit, check out my new space, learn about the other businesses in the Suite Co, and if you are feeling in the mood, you could bring along a shampoo or lotion (or 2 or 3) to donate to our drive for Area Interfaith Outreach. I am smiling big because I have BIG NEWS to share! Amy Sabaka Massage Therapy is moving to Rockport very soon! The new studio suite will be at The Suite Company at 823 Commercial St. (Rt. 1), adjacent to Penobscot Bay Medical Center. New scheduling will be from Monday through Thursday (to include one late day), and two Saturdays per month. Additionally, this summer I completed over 40 hours of Oncology Massage training through Healwell, which culminated in a 3 day workshop at the Inova Schar Cancer Institute. During the week of November 6-10, I will be returning to the DowneastDowneast School of Massage to attend training and receive certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, so the practice will be closed during that week. I expect to be opening at the new location very shortly after this training. The opening day will be announced in the coming weeks! Clients can expect plenty of parking, first-floor ADA-compliant access, a waiting room with water, coffee, and tea, new evening and weekend hours, and as always, a client-centered, evidence-based practice in a clean, friendly, and safe space. I am so happy to be here to complete my Oncology Massage studies with Healwell at the Inova Schar Cancer Institute this weekend. I have been studying and doing the prerequisite work this summer-and now I will attend a 3 day workshop, culminating in working with cancer patients on Sunday. This course of study helps to inform the hospice massage work I’ve been doing for Coastal Family Hospice Volunteers, as well as current and future clients who have ever had a cancer diagnosis or currently living with cancer. Next up: in November I will attend a week long training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage! Things are very busy at Amy Sabaka Massage Therapy…And…I have more big news on the way to share with you all very soon!!

“Practice what you preach!” It’s time for me to practice self-care, restore, and rejuvenate. The studio will be closed from Monday, March 13th and will re-open Thursday, March 23rd. In honor of the winter holidays and the need for all of us to practice self-care and some distancing, my practice will take a little "siesta" from 12/24 through 1/8.Please contact me now for booking requests for appointments between now and 12/23, or beginning on January 11th.
