Acupuncture for sinusitis.

Acupuncture reduces the inflammation and pain to lessen the congestion in the sinuses.
It helps with the movement and drainage of fluids in the body to assist in the breakdown of the phlegm and mucous.
It increases local microcirculation which aids in the healing of the sinuses.

Acupuncture and Sinusitis.
With allergy season upon us, alot of people don't know that acupuncture can help with allergies and sinusitis.
Acupuncture can bring relieve for  sinus pain, sinus congestion, sinus headache and sinus infections.
What is Sinusitis ?
Sinusitis is the inflammation of the cavities and membranes in and around the nasal passages. Sinuses are small air pockets which are located behind the forehead, nose, cheeckbones and between the eyes.

Sometimes indoor or outdoor allergens, change of temperature or the common cold tend to cause excessive mucous to form leading to blocked sinuses.
The build up of the mucous allows viruses and bacteria to linger longer than they should causing a sinus infection to develop.

📍Beta-endorphins flood your system and help decrease the perception of pain; it causes you to feel pleasure, relaxation and even a sense of euphoria. You’ve likely experienced a quick rush of endorphins during exercise, eating chocolate , or laughing uncontrollably.

As we welcome March into our lives, we are also reminded that Spring is near ☀️🌻
In Traditional Chinese Medicine spring is the time of creating, cleaning, activity, movement, growth and renewal.
Spring is associated with the wood element that pertains to the Liver/Gallbladder energy. The Liver is responsible for the smooth movement of Qi throughout the body. If qi flow it's interrupted it can lead to Liver qi stagnation.

This can manifest as:
📍Neck and shoulder tension.
📍Digestive symptoms
📍PMS
📍Poor sleep
📍Irritability
📍Frustration
📍Impatience

🤸‍♀️Physical Self-Care- it includes how you're fueling your body, how much sleep you're getting, how much physical activity you are doing, and how well you're caring for your physical needs.

😌Emotional Self-Care- It's important to have healthy coping skills to deal with emotions, like anger, anxiety, and sadness. Emotional self-care may include activities that help you acknowledge and express your feelings regularly and safely
Spiritual Self-Care- Research shows that a lifestyle including religion or spirituality is generally a healthier lifestyle.
