Meet TJ Magno, MBA ‘20. TJ is currently working as a Product Marketing Manager and really enjoyed the hands-on experience at Molloy.

We kicked off the week by welcoming rising HS students to Molloy University's Business Bootcamp! This immersive and transformative experience is designed to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today's dynamic business landscape. Students learn the fundamentals of business strategy, marketing, finance, and more from our executive-based faculty, who have achieved remarkable success in their fields. This experience provides networking and mentoring opportunities, plus hands-on training. Students earn one credit upon completion of the program. Bruce LaMarca’12&’14 is currently a Senior Manager at Baker Tilly after studying Accounting at Molloy. Immediately after graduation, Bruce passed all four parts of the CPA exam and obtained his CPA license. Early on in his accounting profession, Bruce served as a co-chair on the NYSSCPA Young CPA Committee, which served as a platform for recent college graduates to adjust from college to the rigors of tax season and other areas of professional development. Bruce has been working in public accounting and is now a Senior Manager at Baker Tilly. As a senior manager, Bruce is responsible for overseeing many engagement teams, coaching and developing staff accountants all while being a value architect to his clients.

A contributing factor to Bruce’s success was his strong accounting foundation which he obtained through Molloy’s business program. The curriculum was strong and provided all the necessary knowledge for Bruce to pass the CPA exam and get a job right out of college. The professors were invested in their students and went the extra mile to assure the success of each and every student in the program. Bruce would also like to recognize his former professor Brian Noll who served as a mentor and coach throughout his entire accounting program at Molloy. Bruce and Brian continue to remain in touch.

Bruce has many including being a member of Student Government and serving as a class president from his freshman year up until graduation. In addition, Bruce was also one of the first students to live in the Residence Halls at Molloy and shared a suite with several international students whom he befriended and helped acclimate to New York. As class president, Bruce gained valuable experience in leadership which helped him grow as a professional leader and climb the ladder in the corporate world. 🦁
