What a tough week ... then Today!
Today was the day we Rested our well loved pet Gigi Gabor.

She is a Friendly Bichon born 20 years ago. Been the love of our lives and she did have a personality. Last month Gigi was getting weaker by the week. However had a great appetite and pooped normally. If we were not paying attention to get her outside. Nature went nature.

For about a year she has been wearing a doggy diaper. It did a good job catching most of the peeing. We have a light colored carpet in the Family Room which took the brunt of the Accidents.

However, over the years learned the best way to clean that thing and make it fresh as new. It is also more than 20 years old. Maria was even impressed.

When a bit younger and coming home from work. She wanted attention and a nice scratch. Then she use to be frisky and run around and would play tug on the dog toys.

Gigi liked me a lot since I would sneek her table food. Opps it fell on the floor, darn....! Even though Maria forbade me to give her the large Beef Bones. I did anyway and she would just go after them like a dog should. It would keep her quiet for about 30 minutes. When cooking guess who would always be near me.

This morning Gigi was crying from pain. Her discomfort got worse over the last 2 weeks and tonight was relentless. Deep scratching her fur helped but the pain came back.

Last night and this morning Gigi had 3 seizures lasting 2 minitues. She never had them before. Maria gave her some medication which seem to work. Maria was beside herself.

Maria spent the night with Gigi. Holding her close. In the morning after a few phone calls to her Doctor. Final decision was to drive over to the Clarksburg Animal Clinic.

Drove over there calmly. Except for a person who tried to drive me into the Curb taking left turn from Rt37 to Rt355. Last Tuesday a Driver hit me in the Car Door taking a Left from Shady Grove to RT355. I took the outside right lane. I was towing a trailer. He crossed 3 lanes and plowed into me. Now I am sore.

While at the Clinic Maria and I made several calls. Tried to get Christina our Daughter on the phone with no luck. Spent our last hour with her. Gigi was crying again. The Nurse gave her a sedative to calm her down. She could still feel our petting and presense.

After 15 minutes talking to her. We put her on the table in grief. The Memories....20 years of memories roared, a flash!!

The nurse injected her with two more shots.
Then she just past away.

The nurse was cool and cut a piece of Gigi fur and put it in a little bottle with a Bow..

How did this 20 years go so quickly?
Now in my 70's have and in the landslide of my life.
This was a wake up call. Time to enjoy and appreciate what is left.
Maybe be a bit less cranky.

It has been only 6 hours since Gigi took her last breath.
Tonight it is going to hit me.

Just had a verbal exchange with a bunch of people who Justified a Meme of a Marine Hitting someone because they did not agree what they said. Hitting the person for all the other Marines that died in Combat. Then began with their but god narratives and other comment ignoring that what the Marine did was Assault.

First I think a Marine would not be triggered to hit a person because they had a different opinion. I did post back was they are hiding behind this false narrative of this Marine Story to justify Assaulting a person because of what ever reason they wanted to be validated on. Such as standing for the Flag, or listening to a prayer at an event to Praise god.

They kicked me off the post. While others justified their position that it was OK for this Marine to hit the Professor in this case for his comment.

To me it is an act of cowardice to hide behind the Marine Meme. Essentially egging the Marine on validating their prejudices.

Other stuff you see are Kick Boxing Gear and Wheel of Pain. Which is in my workout room with my Heavy Punch Kicking bags. Today had a long sweaty workout this morning. Stretching, Agility, PT, Bag Work and Shadow Boxing.

Today June 6th was D-Day and Brother Patricks Birthday. Both of us were born in the middle of the Korean War. 4 brothers and one sister. All 6 of us born in the 50's and lived in Rockville MD.

I see that Flag every day. Think of Mom and Dad. I am a deep reader of History. Old family pictures are also a source of history. Reminder of a different time and issues. They were not simpler times like some want to regress too.

One of the things barely mentioned during that era were the bent up soldiers with drug and acohol addiction. That included our families too. Otherwise as kids we just had fun and double the fun when all the cousins got together. Between Mom and Dad families we had 40 cousins. In our neighbor hundreds of kids running around just having fun.

End of WW2 was a wonderful end to the killing. The Engineering developed set the stage of the stage for the next 50 years.

Around 100million people died in the 8 years that defines WW2. Though the world war was over grievences between forces never stopped.

Dad was very tough to be around at time. But we learned how to fix things, especially cars, home construction and how to plant, grow and package food. Meal times were like being on a small ship. The volume of food we ate as teens was huge.

Today was June 6th and thought I would share a few thoughts. The decisions made by ur Parents and grandparents then allow our Democracy to thrive today. Now that the last of the WW2 soldiers are slowly passing away. Time we earn our station in life and responsibilities to preserve our Democracy for the next 80 years.

Had an argument with several woman at a table brow beating the hell out of me...!!

One of the Woman said she was sympathetic with men.

She allowed them to win Arguments only 3 days a year.

The Department of Homeland Security Office of the Inspector General Director Joseph Cuffari’s was appointed as a loyalist to Donald Trump with an eye to helping turn the Secret Service into a more effective personal protective force, and to begin the process of clearing out professionals from DHS. Cuffari took a lead role in covering up a number of Trump administration illegalities and missteps, including aiding in covering up the massive personnel loss associated with COVID, illegal use of Service Personnel to harass and attack protesters, use of the Secret Service to attack and harass religious figures during the Layette Square incident, and the illegal politicing of the DHS by political operatives Chad Wolf, Ken Cuccinelli, and Kirstjen Nielsen. In 2021 he authorized the massive deletions of e-mails from USSC, failing to tell congress until 2022. He forced almost all of the lawyers out of the Department of Homeland Security Office of the Inspector General Director. He tried to blame low level hourly employees for his actions.

Biden has ordered that Cuffari not be removed except by order of the Secretary of DHS — Alejandro Mayorkas — who has been wrestling with the issue since Biden took office because despite his corruption he has the protection of the Freedom Caucus.
