New real estate rules going into effect this week Under a recent settlement agreement announced earlier this year, homes listed for sale on Multiple Listing Services will no longer publicize an offer to cover the buyer’s agent’s commission.

According to the NAR (National Association of Realtors) Research that came out today for the month of June...

- Existing home sales for the Midwest Region of the country fell 6.1% from one year ago
- The median existing-home sales price increased 5.5% from a year ago to $327,100

Mortgage rates according to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.77% as of July 18. That's down from 6.89% one week ago and 6.78% one year ago

According to more local NE Ohio data we are seeing existing homes sit on the market a little longer than they were a year ago. Still a good number of buyers out there looking (and buying). Mortgage Interest Rates on average have come down the last two weeks, actually the lowest we have seen since March. That's very good news!
