Self-IMPROVment
The Bandwagoner's
- All Aboard! (Long & Short form improv in NWA)
Show, dont tell - play your activity, not talk about it - show your character through what your doing.
To improvise is to heighten and expand what is known in real time
There's a difference between improvising and making things up.
The initials are U and I, because a scene is about You and I! dont talk about things that dont exist - unless your going to bring them to life!
Enter a scene pretending you know a secret, or have something in your back pocket. Share it if the opportunity presents itself, or just enjoy the mental/attitude shift you will present.
You lose the audience when you forget your holding something (if you were). Be careful of what you pick up (set it back down before you forget)

Improv U, where the Goal is to Improve You

"Knowledge breeds confidence. Confidence destroys fear. Destroy your fear." - Robert T. Kiyosaki
There are No "rules", only guidelines intended to lead to more preferable outcomes (these suggestions don't design better improv, but easier improv).
Stay away from transactional scenes and being strangers. And if your going to talk about someone NOT on that stage, Someone better play that character - and fast!
Start at level 3, move to 7, and finish at 11! (raise the stakes)
Meisner Box (4 main emotions): Glad/Sad/Mad/Afraad (afraid).
"you can always drop a baby, but you can never pick up an accent" - iO West teacher
