Do you like to knit, crochet, or do other needle work? Do you want to learn? Why not drop by RPL and meet other needlework enthusiasts to chat, share ideas and projects, or learn a new skill while having fun in a laid-back atmosphere!

We meet on Tuesdays from 1:00 – 2:30 pm in the Friends of RPL Community Room at the library.

All skill levels are welcome. Yarn, hooks, needles, and knowledgeable help will be available, but you are also welcome to bring your current project and join us for the afternoon.

Tomorrow is 2nd Tuesday Lunch & Learn: Restoring the Tree Canopy.

Thinking about what kind of trees to plant to replace the ones lost in the tornado? Come listen to Kara King, Rogers Trails Manager, speak about the Fall Tree giveaway in October. Kara will also share some top-notch tips for selecting, planting, and spoiling your new leafy pals!

We'll meet at the Rogers Public Library in the Friends of RPL Community Room on September 10 at noon. Feel free to bring your own lunch; beverages and a dessert will be provided.

We have a few seats available for our next Everyone Can Paint on September 15 at 2:30 pm in the Friends of RPL Community Room. Inspired by the recent Exquisite Creatures display at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, participants will paint a butterfly on a folk art background. https://rogerspubliclibrary.libcal.com/event/12846398

This program is free and all materials will be provided. Painting should get messy, so participants are encouraged to wear old clothes and bring a smock or coverup. Limited to 15 participants. Pre-registration required. ADULTS ONLY (18 and up).

During this 2-hour workshop, Nicole teaches writers various components of storytelling. Teens work through character description and development, world building, and writing with emotion. The Witchlight Carnival comes to the realm once every eight years, and although the carnival is mysterious and full of magic, a much larger mystery leaves the future of the Feywilds hanging in the balance.

Join Castor on the second Saturday of each month from September through December to play through this four session Children’s Dungeons and Dragons campaign! Our first sesson will be on Saturday, September 14 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Friends of RPL Community Room.

Note that only 6 spots are open for this game but with the opportunity for more games in the future! This program is for children ages 6 to 12 years old. Registration is required. https://bit.ly/3z7788p

It is recommended to come to session one with a pre-made level one character sheet or to arrive early for help with character creation.

Dungeons and Dragons is an RPG or role-playing game that involves acting, mathematics, strategic problem solving, and teamwork. You’ll play as your own character and you can choose how your character acts and speaks.
