This is not a seminar, multiple schools, an event, etc. This is a normal Monday at TCB. Probably half of the animals are advanced enough to be teaching some classes at the gym.
What a group of exceptional humans. I'm a lucky guy! The sky is the limit. We're on a mission and it's starting to show. ☝️💪🥊👊🥋

"In May of 2016, I was 306lbs with a black neck and on the verge of being prediabetic. My family often jokes about the day I woke up and stated “I’m done being fat.” An extremely powerful sentence but I'll get to its meaning later on. I reached out to a few friends who actively worked out. This allowed me to have a “support group” with a huge emphasis on accountability. Although weightlifting had never been an interest to me I quickly fell in love. Spending 2-4 hours a day working out and in my free time researching the various in’s and out’s of fitness. Some of my closest friends were there and could have easily left me behind or brushed me off. However, day in and day out I had support. My addiction to food turned into an addiction to exercise. Through the process of a cleaner diet and weight training, I was able to lose 136lbs in a year in a half. At the beginning of 2019, I fell out of sync with my routine. My life had become busier than ever before. This resulted in me gaining weight again, bouncing back to 257lbs by September of 2020. Creating a feeling of shame and guilt for letting myself go. I had the knowledge, resources, and experience to drop my weight again. However, I was missing something. This led me to discover the missing piece of the puzzle. I’d like to preface this by stating: I think the hardest thing an individual will ever have to do in their life is ask for guidance or help. However, once said individual finds the courage to do so it is a life-changing experience. In November of 2020 reached out to a close family friend (My brother from another mother) and asked for guidance. He spent years training at TCB and told me it was where I would find my answers. I remember waiting in my truck mentally going back and forth on the idea of training combat. For those who know me; they know I give the shirt off my back for people. The idea of training just didn’t fit my lifestyle. However, I decided to go anyway; I truly wanted to invest in myself again. Looking back, this was one of the biggest life-changing decisions I have ever or will ever make. Not only was I pushed in all aspects physically. But Aaron and the TCB family stress the great importance of mentality. (the missing piece to my puzzle) See, if you don't truly believe you are capable of something that often becomes your reality. But, just like when I was 306lbs and said “I’m done being fat.” I was able to lose weight and push myself to new heights. I think this speaks to the quality of coaches and teammates we have at TCB. Everyone has their own goal and life to live. However, we all push ourselves to reach new heights day in and day out. Being around such a strong, caring, and driven community bleeds into all aspects of your life. TCB allowed me to make new goals, physically, academically, financially, and mentally. All of which I was able to complete with my newfound mentality. As of now, I’ve lost 77lbs. My sitting weight is 180lbs and 13% body fat. Last semester, I was put on the dean's list for academic excellence. I was able to save up money to go to school and graduate debt-free. Most importantly, for the first time in my life. I valued myself as a person and truly believe I can do anything. I’m humbled to be around such a good group of people. Thank you for all that you do and continue to do."

It's not a "fight camp" it's a lifestyle. Champions.

You have no idea how proud this very simple act makes me. Almost no one shows up the day or even week after a battle.

Getting Chucked by Wrestler Guy (AKA Knife Control Concepts Assignment 3) 06/01/2021

"For the past couple of months I have been taking Aaron Jannetti’s Knife Control Concepts Instructors Course. It is geared more towards the gray area of a knife fight meant to build on things you already know. It’s about using the momentum of the other person for controlling the situation and it has been top notch. I originally started it because I had trained a couple times with and then under Aaron and always came away with something monumental to approach martial arts. The idea of movement had been something I had been rolling in my head for sometime and this class has been amazing on capitalizing on that.
This assignment was about making a contribution to something I honestly felt I had nothing to contribute because I was constant amazed at how well put together the course was as well as the content. Either way I still had to come up with something and I love the reality of how often I learn things from so many different perspectives. When Gavin approached me it was in a very humble and neat way that I was instantly interested in what he had to say. He may not know this yet because he is in his early 20’s and consumed by MMA at the moment, but that’s a really good mark of an effective teacher. So very appreciative of him approaching in the first place and also the simplistic aspect of this take down.
Note: I have heard that ankle pick is not the correct name, I did however Google ankle pick from Russian tie and got literally 100 different videos of random moves so meh, call it what you like and then pull it off."

Great workout tonight with my brother from another mother. This guy was one of my every day sparring and training partners at our ORIGINAL Rogers location. He's had a lot of adversity dealt his way in the past 18 months and weren't lucky to have him here! Looking forward to lots of workouts to come. I'm sure proud of ya brother. Much love! 💙💪

This pretty lady (that hits like a truck) got some work in tonight too. She's been quite an adrenaline j***y in her day and we're hard pressed to find something that she can't talk to us about. She's not gonna slow down any time soon. Welcome back to the action Sherry Conti Lewis!
