The building is coming along! The Lord covered us as we were able to withstand the winds and storms that happened in the area a couple of weeks ago. We should see exterior walls up very soon!

The Rodriguezes handlin’ their business during the South Central Grinder hosted by JDKJN Nixon of Greenwood! Puddles of sweat EVERYWHERE and the walls were sweating! Go JKNs!

Had an opportunity to observe Master Nixon’s Grinder event. Nothing like it. Kudos to those martial artists who attended this year — even the 3 kiddos! Huge props to V. Rodriguez and S Rodriguez for representing Rogers!

What a difference a day makes! Progress continues on building our new location! Concrete to be poured by the end of next week!

***Late Posting***
We had such an awesome ground breaking ceremony on April 6. Folks always ask Eric and me how are we able to have 2 full time jobs and a school (and I have a little side hustle hobby business)? These pictures say it all: great students and great friends (school owners from Greenwood, AR, Pryor, OK, Tahlequah, OK and OK City, OK attended). Only thing missing is our supportive family! Also, huge thank you to Minister Gaines who came out and blessed the area!

We are having a ground breaking ceremony at the future site of K*k Sool Won of Rogers on Saturday, April 6 at 1p! The address is 1705 W. Commerce Dr. in Rogers. Drop on by! Progress continues!

Do you know what this is? Progress! Erosion controls being put in. One step closer to actually breaking ground for our new facility!

This time each year we look forward to our annual CEP training in Texas with our K*k Sool Won family from all over the world! We train, we learn more about our wonderful art and we get to network and talk with other school owners and masters from all over. This is a picture of the masters (5th through 9th Dahn) who attended this weekend, and our Grandmaster K*k Sa Nim right in the middle. (PKJN Eric and I are in the back row, left side.) So grateful for the comradery and continued support from headquarters! Thank you K*k Sa Nim!

We were honored to be given the permission by our Grandmaster Suh In Hyuk to conduct a promotion ceremony for Susan Bruch who promoted to 2nd Dahn. She stepped up in a very big way to continue the K*k Sool Won of Pryor dojang as its Chief Instructor and Owner. To continue her own training, she travels 3 hours round trip to train with us. Very proud of her! Congrats again ma’am!

Happy 18th Anniversary K*k Sool Won of Rogers! Eric had a desire and vision to open a martial arts school. So on February 1, 2006, we did! We have been so blessed with all of the wonderful students, parents, families and K*k Sool Won friends who’ve been a part of this wonderful journey along with the support of our family. God is good all the time!

Yesterday (9/30/23) was bittersweet for K*k Sool Won of Rogers. We said goodbye to the home we’ve known for the last 10 years as we moved out. (When we moved to this location in 2012 from a previous location, we were excited that the new move would allow us to grow the school.) But we will embark on a new journey in a new location in a few months as we will be constructing our own building! Stay tuned!

In the meantime, we will temporarily train at the Embassy Suites Hotel beginning October 2. Here is the address:

Join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®️ Phi Alpha Omega Chapter for our annual Pink and Purple Seminar. We will focus on understanding the root causes of domestic violence and how to identify behaviors that perpetuate intimate partner violence in our communities. Additionally, we will discuss how knowledge and self advocacy can lead to early detection and improved breast cancer survival outcomes.
