our FOL members are hard at work this summer, getting some exciting hands-on experience in our fields! as much as we love our jobs (& income), we can’t wait to be back on campus together in ONE MONTH⛏️☘️

Our last senior to spot light is Eliza Drake. She is originally from St. Louis and came to S&T in Fall of 2017. She is now an alumni member of Chi Omega and the St. Pat’s Board, where she held the positions of Make-A-Wish Chair for Chi O and Secretary for the Board.

Eliza is getting her degree in petroleum engineering with minors in technical communication and geology. In her department she has been the president of the American Association of Drilling Engineers, the International Association of Drilling Contractors, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and Pi Epsilon Tau the petroleum honors society.

Eliza joined FOL in Fall of 2019, since joining she has held multiple committee head positions including Pizza Night Chair and Social Media, and has held the exec positions of New Member Educator and Vice President.

After graduation she will be moving to Indiana to work for Caterpillar in the oil and gas industry.

We hope everyone is having a good finals week!

Meet Eric Hanson, another one of our seniors to spotlight. He is in graduate school for Systems Engineering after getting his bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. Eric is a member of TKE and ASUM. In FOL, Eric has held the position of treasurer. In his free time, Eric enjoys rock climbing and playing the guitar. After graduation, he will work for Boeing in St. Louis.

Another senior for us to spotlight is Tyler Gass. Tyler grew up in Southern Illinois and came to S&T in 2017. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Order and was their recruitment chairman. Tyler had a co-op with USG in Fall 2019 and joined FOL in Spring 2020. He is getting his degree in Mechanical Engineering and has a minor in Engineering Management. He has interned with Boeing and with Collins Aerospace. After graduation, Tyler is moving to Kansas City to work full-time for Collins Aerospace as a Mechanical Engineer while pursuing his Master’s Degree in Engineering Management.

Our next Senior Spotlight is Cole Phinney!
Cole is a senior in Civil Engineering and is a member of Kappa Alpha Order, Chi Epsilon, and ASCE. Cole was born in Washington, MO, and has lived there all his life. He came to S&T in Fall 2017 and joined Kappa Alpha Order where he was Recording Secretary, Greek Week Chair, IM Chair, Brotherhood Chair, Merchandise Chair, and St. Pat's Chair. Cole joined FOL in 2020 and has been our Philanthropy chair and Social chair. After graduation Cole will be working for Clayco as a Project Engineer.

Our first Senior Spotlight is Jacob Brownfield!

Jacob was born and lived in STL all his life. He came to S&T in Fall 2017 and joined Sigma Pi Fraternity where he was Historian, Secretary, Treasurer, and President along with being in charge of many committees. In Spring 2021 Jacob participated in a Process Engineering Co-Op at Green Bay Packaging - Arkansas Kraft. After he came back, he joined FOL in Fall 2021 and became the Service Chairman. After graduation, Jacob is looking to start his career in STL as a Process Engineer.

The Fraternal Order of Leaders is extending our Pizza Night. This year we have partnered with Papa Johns to bring you and your organization pizza throughout the week of April 18th-22nd AND NOW THE WEEK OF THE 25TH-29TH AS WELL! Large one topping Pizzas are $10 with each additional topping costing $2. The markups for the week of April 18-22nd will close on April 15th and the markups for the week of the 25th-29th will close on the 22nd!

Our New Members recently held a Super Smash Bros Tournament as their class project. They had over 40 people compete, and raised over $350 for CASA! A big congratulations to Jacob L from Theta Xi for taking first place!

Happy Finals Week! Help us congratulate our second graduate, Robert!

Robert's post-graduation plans include spending time with his family, going to blues games, and relaxing before beginning law school in Fall 2022.

Robert would like to thank everyone he has met over his time in college, especially his brothers in Lambda Chi Alpha both locally and internationally. He would also like to say thank you to the Fraternal Order of Leaders "for challenging and encouraging me to be my best in everything I do."

His parting words were that his college experience would be nothing without the people around him.

Help us congratulate our first of two graduates, Dave!

Dave's post-graduation plans include spending time skiing in Breckenridge, hiking and taking in the beautiful trees and squirrels of Portland, and moving to Bentonville to start his career as a Network Engineer for Walmart, Inc.

Dave would like to thank all of the members of his fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha, and the members of the Fraternal Order of Leaders for all of their support over his college career.

The Fraternal Order of Leaders Annual Poker Run kicked off last night and will continue tonight at Hopper's from 7-9! The event runs every night through Tuesday, March 12th and all proceeds benefit CASA. Come on out for a chance to win prizes such as cash or gift cards!
