The 4th of July is right around the corner 🎇

What will you be drinking? How about this blueberry wine Mojito featuring Lynfred Blueberry Wine?

⏬️

Ingredients
Ice (enough to fill glass)
2oz white rum
2.5oz blueberry wine (chilled)
2 tbsp fresh blueberries
6-7 fresh mint leaves
2-3 lime slices
Club soda (chilled)

Directions
In a cocktail shaker, muddle together the lime slices, 1 tbsp of the fresh blueberries, and 3 mint leaves. Next, add the rum, wine, and a few ice cubes to the cocktail shaker and shake well. In your desired serving glass, add ice, 3-4 mint leaves, and 1 tbsp of fresh blueberries. Strain the liquid from the cocktail shaker into your glass, then top off the drink with a little club soda and a slice of lime.

The Strawberry Moon, a full moon that signifies the ripening of strawberries, is a perfect occasion to enjoy a delightful and refreshing cocktail. In honor of this celestial event, why not try a special recipe crafted by Lynfred Brand Ambassador Lorenz? This Strawberry Moon Cocktail captures the essence of summer with fresh strawberries, basil, and a hint of citrus, making it an ideal drink to savor under the glow of the Strawberry Moon. 🍓🌙🍷

Strawberry Wine Smash:
4-5 strawberries, quartered
1 large basil leaf, torn (plus more for garnish)
1 ½ tsp lemon juice (fresh squeezed)
2 oz Lynfred Strawberry Wine, chilled
½ oz gin or vodka
½ oz citrus vodka
Club soda, chilled
Crushed ice

In a cocktail glass (I used a rocks glass), muddle the strawberries, basil, and lemon juice. Next, add Lynfred Strawberry Wine, ice, and the hard liquor. Stir well. Top off the cocktail with club soda, and lightly stir. Garnish with more basil.

Makes 1 Cocktail

*I prefer using frozen strawberries that are thawed; they muddle very well.
*This is a very light, and refreshing summer cocktail. I used a floral gin mixed with citron vodka. A regular vodka would work just fine in place of the gin.

*When translated, Tempranillo means “little early one” in Spanish (temprano). Tempranillo ripens earlier than other grapes, hence the fitting name.

Father’s Day is this weekend, and we have created the ultimate wine gift guide, based on 'DAD' personalities!

Old Fashioned, Classic Dad: This is the dad taking the Dr. Rick seminars in the hilarious Progressive commercials. He might not know how to pronounce quinoa, but he is great with a hammer! For this classic dad, we recommend a classic wine such as our newest Reserve Merlot or a Cabernet Sauvignon. Both wines would be incredible paired with a steak and baked potato.

Chicago Sports Fan Dad: He is either a Cubs or a Sox fan, never both, and he cheers on the Blackhawks, ‘da Bears, and ‘da Bulls. If he laughs every time, he sees the Saturday Night Live skits featuring ‘Da Superfans’, and he loves Italian sausage, he needs our Vin de City Chicago Collection in his life! Our Vin de City Red is perfect with everything from Italian beef sandwiches to hot dogs (mustard, no ketchup).

Class Act Dad: This dad is refined and sophisticated and knows a good wine when he tastes one. He also wants to know its origins and history and would pair it with a cigar with the same notes. For Class Act Dad, we recommend our Ruby Reserve Port wine. This sophisticated wine is as smart as he is.

King of the Grill Dad: His throne is on the deck, in front of the grill. This dad loves to host the whole family and neighborhood. Whether it is burgers or hot dogs on the grill, or BBQ in the smoker, this dad loves to impress with his charcoal knowledge of lump versus briquettes. You cannot go wrong bringing a Petite Sirah to this backyard party!

Foodie Dad: His weekends are spent scouring the market for the best ingredients to create a superior meal. Tacos al Pastor, whole trout in salt, cheeses from a small dairy in Wisconsin; this dad wants to bring the flavor! We think a Rose’ would be an amazing choice for this dad because it goes well with everything!

Adventurous Dad: He is up at 6 on a Saturday to ride the trails, but still back in time for soccer practice at 10 with the kids, followed by swimming lessons at 1. This dad is up for anything, including trying new and fun wines, including our Warhol-Inspired Malbec-Syrah! Find some out-of-the-ordinary varieties, such as a Teroldego or Tannat.
