Dear Friends, neighbors, Family and Community Members

I hope this message finds you well as I take a moment to share some updates regarding our beloved family business that has been a cornerstone of our community for the past 26 years.

But first, I am overjoyed to announce that my first post- surgery PSA test results have returned undetectable, marking a positive step in my health journey. However, I will need to continue testing every three months for the next two years and beyond as long as it stays undetectable. Your support and well-wishes during this time have meant the world to me, and I am deeply grateful.

Running Morning Glory's alongside my wonderful wife and business partner Lindsey, has been a privilege and a challenge that has shaped our lives in profound ways. Our children have grown up alongside the business, and seeing them succeed, become good citizens and productive members of society, has been a source of immense pride for us both.

However, the time has come for us to consider new priorities. My health needs and my mother's well-being are calling me to refocus my energies. I've learned throughout my life that, "Time" is the only asset that is not recoverable once it's lost. Years go by and we're always busy focusing on work, saving for retirement, postponing things we like to do for later, not paying enough attention to our loved ones because we're too busy or overwhelmed with life's never-ending challenges, but unfortunately, by the time we realize that we need to do something about it, it's often too late and we can't go back in time to fix what went wrong or relive what we missed. I know now that I need to spend more time with my loved ones before it's too late or have more regrets than I already do.

Therefore, we are offering an opportunity for someone to take over Morning Glory's and a chance to own a successful business with a strong community presence.

It's never easy to contemplate the end of a chapter that has been central to our lives. Yet, I am hopeful that this transition can be a positive one, both for our business and for the new owner who steps forward to carry on its legacy.

Our family business is facing a critical juncture. Unless we find a potential buyer, who would be willing to relocate, we may have to close our doors this November. This decision weighs heavily on me, especially considering recent health challenges and the desire to spend more time with my elderly mother, who has been living alone since my father's passing in 2005.

I also want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your support over the years. Whether you've been a customer, a friend, a neighbor or a family member, your contributions have been invaluable to us. Together, we have built something special at Morning Glory's, and I hope that spirit will continue in the years to come. Our location will not be available for rent as a restaurant.
We thank our landlord who has been nothing but kind to us for many years and for helping us out by giving us two extra years to stay in business since our lease ended in 2022 and didn't even increase our rent for the additional time he granted us.

Your unwavering support and prayers since before my surgery until now have been a source of strength and hope throughout my recovery. I am deeply grateful for all that you have done to help me recover at home while our business was closed.

Wonderful News

Dear friends and family,
I am incredibly grateful to share that my recent lymph nodes biopsies came back negative. Your unwavering support, prayers, and positivity have been a source of immense strength for me. What's more amazing to me is that, you all stood by me when I needed you the most regardless of my ethnic background, political affiliation or religion, and if that's not enough to convince anyone that the USA is still the best place to be, then I don't know what will. I am now 99% clear of cancer, and I eagerly await the results of my upcoming PSA test in June for a 100% confirmation. Your prayers have truly made a difference, and I now believe in their power more than ever. I will update you on the reopening date of Morning Glory's as soon as I feel well enough to go back to work. Thank you all for being a part of my extended family and for blessing me with your continuous support and prayers.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I write this message to each and every one of you. Your incredible support, both financially and morally, will be the lifeline that will carry me through as I take the necessary time off work to heal from my surgery.

Your support will not only help me heal physically but has also uplifted my spirits and renewed my hope in the power of compassion and solidarity.

The last day of the fundraiser was Sunday and from the depths of my heart, I want to express my sincerest appreciation for everything you have done for me. Your selflessness and kindness have made a profound difference in my life, and I am forever grateful to have such an incredible community, neighbors, friends, and family by my side.

Your prayers, well wishes, and kind words mean the world to me.

My family and I are thankful and grateful for the overwhelming support we have received from our family, friends, neighbors, customers and the entire community. We appreciate everything you all have done and it's a lot more than we deserve. My surgery is on March 11 and I will be going home the day after to recover over a period of six weeks if everything goes well. During the operation they will take samples of surrounding area and lymph nodes to test if the cancer has spread beyond the prostate. Morning Glory's will be closed for at least 3 weeks depending on the results of the additional biopsies. I ask you to keep me in your prayers and thoughts and hopefully I will reopen as soon as I recover and become able to perform my duties as I have proudly done for the past 26 years. Without the community's support, we wouldn't have been in business for this long and I wouldn't be able to take time off to recover and not worry about expenses while our business is closed. We can't thank you enough and may God be with you and your families.

Good Morning! Now that the mornings are chilly warm them up with a delicious hot coffee and bakery item! Our new business hours are Mondays10am to 2pm, Tuesday thru Saturday 7am to 2pm, Closed Sundays and Holidays. Thanks!
