On this historical day 159 years ago, more than 250,000 black slaves in confederate territory were freed. Many of the disparities we see today are rooted in this dark part of our country's history. It's important to celebrate the good things from our past, but it's equally important to remember the bad. We encourage everyone to take some time learning more about this holiday and understanding the long-term implications.

To our amazing clients and community -- In 2019, we opened Sterling Shears with a mission and vision to provide high-quality haircut services at a budget-friendly price because we understand the importance of a good value. With so many salon options in the area, we are humbled and grateful to open our doors every day for all of our clients (new and returning.) Though we hate to have to do it, with significant rising operation costs, we have made the difficult decision to increase our prices to align with similar competitors in the area (looking at you, Great Clips and Super Cuts!) We hope you'll continue to stick with us as we adjust to the ever-changing economy.

The new pricing will take effect on Friday, September 22 -- so get your appointments in before then to lock in the current pricing!

This saddens us as community members and business owners. Sterling Shears has been a big supporter of The Landing Spot and their mission, vision, and values.

We are officially back open on Tuesdays again! Sterling Shears hours are every day of the week from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Plenty of space for appointments and limited room for walk-ins.
