MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

Our gates will be open 7:30am to 6:30p
(St. Marys 9am-2pm)

Our offices will be open Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 8:30am until 12:30pm.

Our Memorial Day Mass will be held at Mount Benedict Cemetery on Monday May 29th at 10:00am.

The wonderful people I work with at The Boston Catholic Cemetery Association had this throw blanket made for me as a retirement gift. It is beautiful. It was difficult to get high quality pictures but I wanted to share their thoughtfulness! Thanks to all the people that have supported me and worked so hard over the years.

We would like to announce that our Superintendent - Business Agent Bill Hewitt is retiring. Bills last day will be Wednesday April 26, 2023. We thank him for his service for the last 10 1/2 years.

We wish him a happy and healthy retirement.

We would like to announce that Paul Kelley, our foreman at Mt. Benedict will be retiring on Tuesday April 18th. We thank him for his 38 years of service. We will miss him very much!!!

Beginning Sunday 3/12 our gates will now be open from 7:30am until 6:30pm.

Clocks change this Sunday 3/12/2023. We move ahead one hour.

Our superintendent Bill Hewitt will be retiring in April 2023.

We are pleased to announce that his replacement will be Charlene Daniel. Charlene begins her new position on March 1, 2023 and will spend two months with Bill so there is a smooth transition.

We would like to welcome Emilia Velasquez to the BCCA team. Emilia will be replacing Kathy Davidson who is retiring at the Mt. Benedict office.

We want to wish Kathy Davidson a Happy and Healthy retirement. Kathy has been with the Boston Catholic Cemetery Association since 1989 and we thank her for her 34 years of service!

We want to wish a very Merry Christmas!

Our offices will close at noon on on Friday December 23rd and will be closed on Monday 12/26 for the observance of Christmas.

There will be no funeral services scheduled for 12/24, 12/26, 12/31 & 1/2.

Our gates will be open from 7:30am to 4:00pm throughout the holiday season.

THERE WILL BE NO FUNERAL SERVICES SCHEDULED.

Don't Forget To Set Your Clocks Back 1 Hour on Saturday Night Before Going To Bed.

Beginning Sunday November 6, 2022 we will be closing our gates at 4:00pm.

The gate s will open at 7:30am and close at 4:00pm 7 days a week.

Please watch the time so you are not locked in at night!

2022 MEMORIAL WEEKEND HOURS.
Saturday 5/28, Sunday 5/29 and Monday 5/30.

The Offices at Mt. Calvary and Mt. Benedict will be open from 8:30am to 12:00pm.

The gates at Mt. Calvary and New Calvary Cemeteries will be open from 7:30am until 6:30pm. The gates at St. Mary’s Cemetery will be open from 9:00am until 2:00pm.

Our Annual Memorial Day Mass will return this year after a 2 year absence due to Covid.

This year's mass will be held at Mount Benedict Cemetery, 409 Corey Street, West Roxbury on Monday May 30th at 10:00 am.

Our offices will close at noon on 12/23 and will be closed 12/24.

Our offices will be closed on Thursday November 11th for Veteran's Day. We will reopen on Friday November 12th at 8:30am.

We apologize for the condition of Mt. Benedict Cemetery. We have had a staffing issue that we are working with our employees union to resolve. The high volume of rain and high temperatures have slowed our ability to resolve the grass and trimming issues quickly.
We appreciate your patience and we want to let you know that we are committed to resolving the condition of the cemetery.

The phone system for all our cemeteries is out of service. Hopefully it will be operating on Friday 8/6.

The Mt. Benedict office is temporarily closed due to a staff injury. We are not sure how long it will be closed but expect it could be into the fall.

The phones have been forwarded to the Mt. Calvary Office so we can continue to serve you without inconvenience.

All cemetery business for Mt. Benedict will be done at the Mt. Calvary Office until further notice.
