An AED device is the most expensive piece of equipment I've purchased for the studio, which I hope to actually NEVER need to use!
I do love knowing, though, if something ever DOES happen, I'm prepared. This February, in celebration of "Heart Health Month", I notified all the tenants in my business park that I have one onsite should they ever have an emergency. .. I also just renewed my CPR certification, including AED, this past weekend.
So, I'm officially declared a "heartsaver" by the state of GA. This is important to me, as I work with many older, and/or health compromised individuals - and place their safety first and foremost in my intentions when working with them

Yes. This was his intuitive knowing. ... At a certain level, he knew his work was meant to serve others after him, not those of his day. He was a person gifted ahead of his time. He brought an energy to this world and anchored it ... which only those years later would be equipped to appreciate.
How many "struggling artists" (generating any creative art form or offering a creative contribution in the world) are out there, weighted down with this burden of being the ones to pave the new roads ahead ... leading in a way that will only be appreciated much more fully after they are long past?
How many out there feel like "failures" when they are in actuality creating masterpieces?
How many current geniuses are questioning their value/worth or grappling with depression from lack of 'success' like he did? .... and therefore crumble and give up rather than continue on?
Van Gogh kept up his proliferation of works throughout his life, despite not being well received or rewarded. .... Thankfully so, or we wouldn't be blessed today with them. We get the gift of enjoying the fruits of his labor.
How many others of his era, as well as before or after, in similar experience gave up and we are all the lesser due to the absence of their gift contributions?
Van Gogh is my favorite artist ... and I often reflect on him whenever I too, like him, feel melancholy ... doubting my gifts, passions, and/or success..... especially when I see and feel things to birth into this world which are before "my time" ... outside the box ... or that which the world isn't quite ready to receive. Remembering, my responsibility is to trust and serve the Divine to my fullest capacity - regardless of how it is deemed by the material world, as successful or not. That keeps me going. We have no idea what long term effects our "works" may have ... what the bigger view of history has in store.

There are NO shortcuts.

I'm often asked for shortcuts, hacks, and secrets for various pain modalities... including weight issues, lack of flexibility, balance and mobility issues, injuries, and deteriorating conditions.
The reality is there are none. There are ways to expedite results, yes. There are ways to sustain results too. There is no magic pill or procedure though that will immediately undo a longterm issue and maintain that fix without work. You can gain progress quickly and reduce the pain as you go, but there is no overnight "undo" or "delete" key available.
The body keeps score.
You didn't get to where you are overnight ... and therefore you won't unwind it overnight. It's a process, that must be traversed and completed. Just commit and see it through.
Your success will depend on your commitment and willingness to see it through to the other side.

It's cold outside ... a good time for some nice warm homemade soup.
You can't control the mood or attitudes of others, but you can regulate your response to them!
Years ago, I learned a simple daily practice from Brené Brown that I still use today:
When you get home to your spouse/kids/cat/dog etc..
Before you open the door,
Think of a happy moment or thought about those inside,
& put a genuine smile on your face!
It doesn't matter how your day went,
Or what you're doing next,
Or what you feel that you SHOULD be doing instead,
Or if you feel tired, grumpy, or hungry....
For 30 seconds, at least pretend that you're elated to see them if nothing else .... and/or keenly interested in them, how their day went, and how they are feeling.
Make them feel like you were looking forward to getting back home.... and you care how their lives are going separate from yourself.
After all, they are your favorite people in the whole world, right?
I hope so!
They are a priority in your life.
Your attitude sets the tone for the rest of the evening within 15 seconds of walking in the door.
So really, it's not a tiny thing.

1. Reserve the Studio during non-studio hours (i.e. Friday, Sunday, or one weekday after close) for your small group ( max 8 ).
2. Request what type of private group class you'd like me to lead (i.e. stretching, fascia release, sound bath, educational topic, etc.)
3. Send out invitations & receive RSVPs. Then, provide the list of attendees to be added to the private class roster so they can receive event reminders.
4. Coordinate refreshments if desired to be served (i.e. herbal tea, wine or champagne, fingerfoods, cake, etc.)

Prioritizing our time, where we place our focus and spend our energy, is more effective than just making lists of New Years "resolutions".

Absolutely... with Adam (my husband) sick last week and now me this week, I feel like we are sliding into 2024 like baseball players that barely make it into home-base safely. Scuffed up, dirty, and bruised - but fully alive and present. LOL
2023 was hard in general for us, filled with lots of both ups and downs though - challenges, losses, and grief on the one hand .... and growth, wins, and joys on the other hand.
Sometimes we must go backwards to then move forward. We have to slow down, to speed up. We must decend, to then rise. So regardless how 2023 may have been for you - know that it was preparing you for what's next.
I have high expectations for 2024 ... even if it ends up being another tough year - I'm committed to what I'm developing within as I set my sail into the wind. I encourage you to do the same.
The Universe is conspiring on our behalf, lean in!
Starting the New Year off with a fresh, updated space ... I've completely designed the studio to feed the souls of my clients ... those desiring even more than an awesome workout, but also a transformational experience on every level!

Our body is a collection of instruments (organs) acting together as an orchestra - receiving & transmitting vibrational frequencies, either in harmony or dissonance.
Health results when everything vibrates in harmony.
When organs become dissonant, however, dis-ease happens. As protection, the subconscious body creates "pain" signals to the conscious mind to induce it to resolve the dissonance.
Harmony must be restored to restore vitality.
The body speaks in the language of somatics via e-motions (energy in motion). Positive emotions signify all is well. Negative emotions must be discharged to restore balance & return to harmony.
Pain signals begin in the emotional/subconscious/etheric body before manifesting in the physical.
When we repress a negative energetic charge that needs to be moved and discharged, the subconscious then must do something on a physical level to get our attention. The subconscious, acting as the initiator of all activity, generates an attention-grabbing action - so we trip, fall, or get into “accidents”.
There are no “accidents” in life, though.
Moving through life and struggles (lessons) should come as effortless to us as breathing. We don’t have to think about it. It just happens, as we live in flow of the universe.
There is always a reason for every “pain” we experience, both physical and mental/emotional. It’s up to us to decipher what message we are meant to glean from every experience. When we learn the lesson, there is no longer a necessity for pain - a messenger that signals something needs our attention.
