AMP Service Tip #21: Electric Pressure washers 💦only trip breakers that have🔌 insufficient power available. 😮

It is easy to blame🤷 your electric pressure washer when it trips a breaker on the machine, plug or in your panel box. The reality is if your breakers are tripping then you are asking them to produce power you do not have available.🚫 Watch this video for some tips.

AMP Service Tip #14: Generator Location. 🚨You should never operate a generator in any buildings, enclosed spaces, or vehicles. Always operate a generator outdoors, in an open area a minimum 5-foot radius of clearance all around, & never near door or windows.

AMP Service Tip #38: Stick Welding Tips👨‍🏭

For stick welding, ⚠️learn safety protocols, choose the right electrode, clean work surfaces, 🎛️adjust amperage settings, master striking an arc, control travel speed, maintain proper arc length and rod angle, use appropriate joint preparation, and practice different weld positions to improve your skills. 👩‍🎓

AMP Service Tip #5: Follow Maintenance 🔧Schedules.

Some of the steps taken to ensure smooth generator operation while carrying out scheduled maintenance include:

• Timely removal of worn out parts or upgrading the components
• Checking fluid levels
• Battery inspection and cleaning of connections
• Load bank testing
• Verifying control panel readings and indicators
• Changing fuel and air filters

AMP 🛠Service Tip #32: Change your Spak Plugs⚡️

AMP recommends you change your spark plugs every 100 hours or 1 year. You may also need to replace a sparkplug if it is worn and cracked. To check this:

Disconnect the wire
Clean around the old sparkplug to prevent debris from falling in once you remove it
Use a spark plug socket to remove the old spark plug
Clean the spark plug with a spark plug cleaner and a wire brush. If there are any persistent deposits or cracks in the porcelain, replace it.

When replacing a sparkplug, it is important to adjust the gap between the electrodes to the manufacturer’s specs with a spark plug gauge. When the gap is properly set, you may replace the spark plug and re-attach the wire.

There are many reasons📝 a welding machine does not produce spark when you're trying to weld. The good thing 🙌 is in most cases it is not the machine that causes the issues. Watch the video to find out the 4 main reasons this can happen.

AMP Service Tip #23: Electrical Cords Matter. 🔌

When using a portable generator make sure to use heavy duty cords of the correct size. Using light gauge cords increases💹 the draw on the generator and can lead to premature burn-out. 🧯

AMP Service Tip #6: Clean your Machine!💦

When was the last time you checked the condition of your generator?🤷‍♂️

If it’s been a while, now is a good time!⌚️ Depending on where you store it, there’s a chance it’ll have gathered a nasty coat of dust, dirt, and grime. In worse-case scenarios the build-up will be bad enough to threaten its functionality.😡

🔧AMP Service Tip #15: 🚫Never have load on generator at startup or shutdown. 🚫
You should have the generator running before a load is applied. 🔌Similarly, you should not shut the generator down while it is still pulling a load. The RPM (Rotations Per Minute) are set in the factory, so you should not change the engine speed. 👍
