The World Health Organization estimates that more than 150 million people suffer from blurred vision due to uncorrected refractive errors, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness.
However, with the help of Lions and community organizations around the world and the Recycle for Sight program, Lions Club International is bringing clear vision to millions, one pair of glasses at a time.

Usable Glasses Give New Life
Refractive errors can be easily corrected with eyeglasses, yet millions living in low and middle income countries lack access to basic eye care services. Lions have recognized the urgent need for corrective lenses and collect usable glasses in their communities to support the Lions Clubs International Recycle For Sight Program.
Royal Oak Lions Club collected 21 pairs of used eyeglasses at Hollywood Supermarket on Main St. in Royal Oak! Thank you shoppers for donating your glasses. The collection box is in the vestibule of the store.
