Lincoln county is currently under a burn ban and we have a red flag warning today
Today, after a thorough review of current fire danger conditions and following the El Paso County Wildland Fire Restriction Evaluation Guidelines, Sheriff and Fire Warden Joseph Roybal has implemented Stage I Fire Restrictions for all unincorporated areas of El Paso County.
“The safety and well-being of our community is my priority,” said Sheriff Joseph Roybal. “As the Fire Warden, I am responsible for considering risk when dry weather conditions and fuel levels become dangerously high.
“As I implement Stage I Fire Restrictions, I ask for assistance from our community in spreading awareness and holding themselves accountable for their conduct. Don’t throw ci******es out the window, keep your property adequately mitigated from fire hazards, and follow restriction guidelines when enjoying Colorado’s abundant outdoor activities and recreation.
“El Paso County is a beautiful place to enjoy the colorful fall season, and by working together, we can prevent dangerous wildfires from devastating our community.”
These restrictions take effect today, October 4, 2024, at 2 p.m. and will remain in effect until they are modified (pursuant to El Paso County Ordinance #22-001).

We will also have our pie contest going on July 6th. Bring your favorite pie to enter! No sign up needed
