When you invest the next few years into the Air Force, you are accepting a credentialed employment opportunity, job security, and salaried employment!
But wait, there's more!
You are also automatically enrolled into the Community College of the Air Force as a freshman, where you can earn your degree for FREE! The Air Force will pay $4500/year for school, and give you a full scholarship for any US education institution you can gain admittance to.
We want you to succeed, whether you choose to stay for 4 or 20 years. So....

Happy Earth Day!
We're celebrating by getting out in nature and learning the 7 basic scouting principles of Leave No Trace. Despite being busy throughout each week as the only Air Force recruiter for my 500 square-mile area, I still have the opportunity to serve my community as a youth soccer coach and a Scout leader. This Earth Day, I will get to celebrate both by pouring into my community!
I'm really just a down-to-Earth gal in an Air Force uniform........with a backyard flock of chickens!

Being disciplined to get and stay physically fit is hard, but so is living with obesity. Showing up every day with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and work as a team is hard, but so is throwing in the towel and throwing it away.

Making important decisions based on current situations can be tricky. And if you don't have a plan, it can feel reactive and like you don't have a say it what happens.
Instead, make important decisions based on where you want to be; make a plan.
Don't back yourself into a corner, having to make decisions based on your current situation--decide where you want to be next year--in 5 or 10. And then? Make the decisions that will get you there.

This motivated, sharp young man overcame quite a bit to get where he is! Watching him go from applicant, to DEP, to BMT, and now officially an Airman has been so encouraging! We faced some obstacles, but this amazing young man overcame them ALL and is now training to be a Crew Chief for the F-15 Eagle!! So super proud, dude--cannot wait to see what's next for you!

This year has been full of firsts for me--and this week, I enlisted my first married couple!

Today, I encourage you to be thankful for the life you live in this country, and to honor the men and women who sacrificed so we could have it.
Here are a few ways you can honor those who courageously gave all:
- Visit cemeteries and place flags or flowers on the graves of our fallen heroes.
- Fly the U.S. Flag at half-staff until noon--Memorial Day is a day of "National Mourning."
- Participate in a "National Moment of Remembrance" at 3:00 PM local time, to pause and think upon the meaning of this day.

You can really take this any way you choose, but consider this:
If you are unwilling to learn--take advice, learn from others, do hard things, grow, be challenged--no one can help you be better than you are today.
If you are determined to learn--ambitious, motivated, excited to be challenged--the sky is the limit! There's nothing you CAN'T do!
