We have a special event lined up just for you—a thrilling Ball Tossing Competition! This is a fantastic opportunity to have fun, engage with the community, and maybe even win some exciting prizes.

Age Requirement: Participants must be 14 years or older.
Team Requirement: Each team must consist of two (2) people.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. According to the California Healthy Kids Survey—which collected bullying data annually in California from 2015-2021—1 in 5 Asian American and Pacific Islander students between grades 9-11 were victims of bullying. When broken down by ethnic groups, nearly 1 in 3 Hmong students were victims of bullying.

OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH.
Who is at risk? All women, especially those 50 years of age or older. Men are also at risk, although less common, and account for about 1% of all breast cancer diagnoses.
THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO GET CHECKED:
(1) Mammograms--which uses x-ray technology. Recommended annually for women ages 40 and over.
(2) Clinical breast exams (CBE)--which is done by a trained medical professional. Recommended every 3 years for women ages 20-29 and every year for women 30 and over.
