Art Expressions by Elizabeth B. Greer
I am a returning artist, forgive my inaccurate strokes, they are unintentional for in art there aren't any mistakes.
I believe my creative ability can do the indomitable like: portraits, landscapes, still life, animals, fashion, abstracts, no limits.
Hello my friends and family, sending you blessings of peace and serenity; this is one of my abstract paintings in pastel from my past collections. Titled “ Mother and Child” to signify the experience of a woman’s new birth with her newborn child. (c)2005 by ElizabethbGreer.
New beginnings are always refreshing! Happy times going forward to everyone!
I am in the mid semester of my Portrait class and had to do a mix media portrait on a gesso surface. I attempted my hand at watercolor, careful use of pastels, and China markers to depict the Nigerian beauty, Jare Ijalana . She has been named the most beautiful girl in the world, and her heart and gorgeous looks are capturing the heart of global citizens around the world. ArtExpressionsbyelizabethbgreer (c)2021.
I would like to share my assignment from last semester Oil Painting class to paint a lemon. So, hard to do, yet I cracked the code of using yellow pigment . (c)2020elizabethbgreer.
Hello my artist lovers!
Surrealism is what we have been experiencing (a dream state of mind). For my final Oil Painting Assignment , we had to create a collage from scrap pieces of magazines or improvise through drawings of a surrealist story. I created a Poetic Portrait vase submerging with flowers and birds. Art expression by Elizabeth Greer(c) 2020
FINALS ARE Over! Hooray!!Today was the submission of our final Project in my Portrait Abstract class. We were to do an alter ego portrait - An alter ego (Latin for "other I") means alternative self, which is believed to be distinct from a person's normal or true original personality - Wikipedia. This could be any character that represents distinct part or your personality or character that is different than your normal persona.. The image below is titled: “ The Goddess Inside” by Elisabeth B Greer (c)@2020.
In the quest to understand Cubism, invented by Pablo Picasso, I came up with such bizarre collage to create Cubism effects. (c)2020byelizabethbgreer. Title, “ The time is Now”.
Thank you for dropping by to see my recent project. For this 3-D assignment, I modified and deconstructed a book; it was amazing and fun to create a theme that came alive. “My Soldier’s House” was created from pictorial history of the second world war. I rearranged the colors to give it a different effect from the earlier upload. (c) 2020 byelizabethbgreer.
I just completed another one of my Modified Book Projects due Friday at 11:59pm. The teacher from my 3-D Sculpture class had us ripping and deconstructing and carving out an old book, or any book to transform it into a new life. My neighbor Susan gave me a book that she was going to tossed out, which she found in the laundromat. To my surprise, it was a 1946 book ( 74 years old) of the Second World War, Vol IV, a pictorial exhibits and records of all chronological actions arranged. I sculptured out furnishing from the book. The new idea theme is made available for all soldiers to hand down to their children, boys or girls, who will be our next generation of military soldiers. Instead of just girls having doll houses for playful times, both genders can now appreciate “ The “Soldiers House” for playful activities. (c)2020byElizabethbGreer.
Hi everyone, sharing my deconstruction sculpture project (first) from my 3-D sculpture class assignment to demolish a book, and allow it to transform into a representation or abstract art. Title of my art sculpture “ Tender Love Dress” . c) 2020 by elizabethbgreer.
Hope everyone had a beautiful Easter! 🐣 Yesterday at 11:59p.m., was my deadline to drop my Portrait Abstract Caricatured Assignment in the schools Dropbox. I made it! We had to work on this assignment for 7-8 hours until fully rendered in any medium of a celebrity or famous person. It was intimidating because it’s my first try at Caricature Drawings and I wanted to do a good job; however, we were told not too worry if the drawing doesn’t resemble our person in the photo. The objective was to learn the technique and have fun with it as we continue our practice to improve. Medium used: charcoal and graphite pencils. Guess which famous person I chose to caricature in my drawing below? I think I came somewhat close to their features . Caricature is a form of exaggeration of the person’s features that stand out different from others. It’s not to make the person ugly, or cartoony , it’s fun to just have a good laugh, or make a political statement. (c)2020 byElizabethB Greer.
