Right about now I start craving good, like really good, out of the garden tomatoes; but you've seen the ones at the grocery store, they may look pretty on the outside but aren't tasty on the inside. This dish Is just want you need to itch that scratch!

FRI NOV 5 - CASA SYLVIA MEATLOAF

Simple and good. Mixing ground pork and beef and the addition of Calabrian chili pepper paste make it irresistible and so good for sandwiches the next day. If you don’t want to do pork you could always do chicken too.

FRI NOV 12 - CLAY POT CHICKEN

My mother-in-law gifted me a clay pot with this recipe at my bridal shower – we make this often. It makes the whole house smell delicious and satisfies the tastebuds.

FRI NOV 19 - CROSTINI WITH 3 DIFFERENT TOPPINGS
WHITE BEAN AND PESTO - RED PEPPER TAPENADE - OLIVE TAPENADE

It’s always good to have a couple quick and easy appetizers to be able to make and take or to be able to lay out a snack spread easily with all three. Crostini is inexpensive and quick to make. All three toppings are easy as well and you might have everything in your pantry already! If you are staying away from bread, these toppings are great with veggies too!

FRI 26 - POTATO BASIL FRITTATA

An easy lunch with a light salad or as a breakfast this frittata is darn good. No crust makes it light on the calories and friendly to my gluten-free friends.

BONUS - CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE GANACHE

In a word – decadent; but let me say more, simple and easy, of course, and worthy of sharing with friends. It does go amazingly well with a nice cabernet too!

Last night's dinner was straight from the heart. Veggie Chili, like the one my dad and I used to order at The Bread Store. I was right back there in my mind sitting across from my dad, like we did every day when we worked together, served just like the restaurant did. I love that about food, it can take you right back to a place you love with a smell, a taste, it's the best!

This is on the menu for October's Classes - it's too good and easy not to share.

I'll be sharing this good old-fashioned standby in September.

Perfect for breakfast with a warm cup of coffee, an afternoon snack, even dessert! So good!

With so many tomatoes from the garden this year, I think even our neighbors are thinking we've gone tomato crazy. We are dropping off bags of tomatoes almost every day; however, I finally got the bright idea to make sundried tomatoes since I go through them like they are candy!

This morning we processed these, I can't wait to use them.
