At LaBash each year, founding members of Pride x ASLA host a panel discussion about what it was like to be a practicing, out, q***r landscape architect. Last week, ASLA Sierra Chapter and other professionals in the area attended the Architectural Nexus’ renovated office in Sacramento. Architectural Nexus is a certified Living Building with an impressive interior green wall which was designed by Habitat Horticulture in collaboration with Arch Nexus’ in-house landscape architects and architects. We heard about their green wall, urban agriculture, water harvesting, and more at this wonderful firm tour!

UCD SCASLA is excited to announce SCASLA’s 2024 Professional’s Dinner! This event is an amazing opportunity for students and professionals in the landscape architecture and environmental design fields to meet and network in a social setting.


The Professional’s Dinner will be held on Friday, May 17th, at Drake’s the Barn in West Sacramento. We will host mixer activities, a pizza dinner (+ a drink of your choice), and a raffle giveaway.


There will be an early bird discount on ticket prices from now until May 3rd; student tickets will be $25 and professional tickets will be $60. After April 28th tickets will be $35 for students and $70 for professionals. Link in bio to sign up!

We love having our community become involved in the development of our spaces, as it helps us create designs that have impact and serve the community well.
