Sugarleaf Church won this case 7 years ago today! People v. Dutton #2017015532, establishing a precedent against any unlawful local or federal law enforcement actions against our Church practices protected by the 1st Amendment & the Fifth Amendment right to Double Jeopardy.

~ July 12, 2017~ Life just gets better and better. My Michigan Case where I was threatened with a federal arrest for claiming sacrament out of state in order to protect my church of INNER PEACE:

A police dog is an officer-
An "officer" cannot search without a warrant.
In our case also the canine "officer" performed a search before there was a warrant.
Actually the canine "officer" "searched" to obtain the warrant. .
Which makes it an illegal search.
Aug 4th is suppose to be next court date (to hear those sweet words "case dismissed")
Then I guess we can ask for our sacraments back . .

It is interesting to take several years off of social media and return to find articles about yourself you have never seen. Because the scale of our operations were the largest in the State of California, we were a threat to the man He needed to shut me down so he could illegally extort any business running on Prop. 64. Despite the negative media attention, fake news and false narratives about my life and my Church I have . I have prevailed and after a lengthy healing journey, I am to continue the fight for religious rights to use our Sacraments however we like. Currently, despite the "double jeopardy" clause, and the 5th Amendment right of all US citizens; the Church is still fighting a religious freedom RFRA criminal case #27

In May of 2017, Pastor Tony, a key figure in Sugarleaf Church, faced persecution from law enforcement, highlighting a blatant disregard for our religious rights. I defended Pastor Tony Rigato using the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 (RFRA). I filed a joinder to add myself to the criminal charges. Pastor Tony and I set a significant precedent. The judge would not even call our name into the record and told the DA to take our case into the hallway. Two days later, the case was dismissed. Despite our Church winning 26 more cases citing RFRA, Nevada law enforcement targeted him anyway.

Pastor Tony Rigato was raided and arrested again in 2019 in Nevada for the same "crimes". Despite our previous legal victories, they violated our 5th Amendment right against "double jeopardy". This means he is being charged again for the same offense, which is HIGHLY unconstitutional.

He now faces the possibility of a 30+ year prison sentence if he goes to trial. The State of Nevada's offer of a plea deal for probation underscores the weakness of their case and their unjust actions. This situation exposes the ongoing struggle and the state's unjust attempts to undermine religious freedoms.
