Clarity cards can be so helpful 🤲🏽🎴🃏

The card for the month of July for me is the Devil XV. I am no stranger to the devil card as it correspodns to my Sun sign—Capricorn. So this energy of rules, regulations, restrictions, choices that may or may not serve me, etc. is all too familiar.

But then I pulled some clarity cards, and quite a few empowering and uplifting cards came flying out of the deck! To receive messages of abundance, illumination, freedom, hard work paying off, and celebration in response to the devil card indicates that the devil card energy is actually showing up in reverse.

What a pleasant surprise! 😅🥳🥳

This is why I often recommend a monthly clarity card reading for all of you who have received a Solar Return/New Year Tarot reading from me.

Sometimes we project a message or we carry negativity when it’s not necessary. I love learning, but life isn’t always about learning lessons. (Sweet reminder to all Capricorns out there lol)

The devil this month is telling me life is about living abundantly and joyfully 💞💞💞 and I receive!

Konta di Odjo 👁️‍🗨️🧿🪬

Many people ask me if I use or sell the evil eye. It is an iconic symbol—a blue eyeball—and goes by many names, mal de ojo being one of them, but I never felt called to use it. Not because I don’t feel the need to protect my energy but more-so I’ve never felt intuitively connected to the well known symbol.

Until I found the konta di odjo.

Konta di odjo translates as “bead of eyes” in Kriolu, the native language in Cape Verde, where my ancestors are from.

The konta di odjo is said to protect the wearer against all evil spirits and negative energy directed at them. Traditionally used in trade, these beads are rumored to be made with cremated remains.

Do I sell the evil eye?

Yes, yes I do.

I use these beads on medicine bags, wrapped crystal necklaces and beaded bracelets. I charge the beads with the sacred vibrations of my altar before creating these adornments with the intention of protection.

RADICAL RITUAL 6/21 ✨☀️✨🌕✨

The next Radical Ritual is divinely supported as it lands on the Summer Solstice AND a Capricorn Full Moon! 🐐There’s so much to celebrate and honor because when we’re on the path of change, ascension, healing, growth—we tend to apply the hustle and grind mindset to our spiritual practices as well and forget to pause, look around and witness our own advancement. 👀

This month we are acknowledging the divine alignment the stars have to offer and really breathing in to what we have experienced, accomplished and healed. Is there more work to do? Usually. Do we have to “work at healing” all the time? No.

So let’s gather to integrate in a easeful way. I’m inviting you all to recognize where we are on our paths, accept our unique powers individually and collectively and soak up the gorgeous astrology on June 21st ✨✨✨

I did a custom wrap for someone recently. She had her father’s dog tags and the tree of life, also representing her family tree. It was quite a special moment for her as she felt like she recovered and preserved a piece of her familial history, and for me, this interaction happened the day after I co-hosted our first family reunion in 30 years.

The Universe is full of magic, inspiration and connection. Sometimes we stay too busy to see it. Slow down so you can savor what’s happening.

Each year I take time to intentionally introduce myself in an effort to reconnect with all of you and take notice of how I’ve grown spiritually and in my business, because they are one in the same…

I started off as a photographer—one who writes with light—only to transition into spiritual services did I come to identify with the title of “lightworker” in more ways than one ✨

As a lightworker, I spend most of my time listening

Listening to clients who’ve come to me for readings and healings

Listening to my guides and learning to hear my ancestors

Listening to the messages all around me, especially when I’m surrounded by nature

Attuning to my own energetic signature, my own inner voice, so that I’m no longer clouded by others’ influence

As I continue to deepen my practice, I find medicine in each moment, and I’m always open to share 🫶🏽
