The California Police Activities League (PAL) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1971 and provides programs for at-risk youth throughout California.
Congratulations to our California Police Activities League and LIUNA YARA Program Cohort 1 graduates in Tracy! These amazing youth attended training Monday through Friday from 7am-3pm over the last two months for hands-on training, which provided them with six industry recognized certifications, along with the training for the Part 107 Drone Pilot License making them immediately employable upon turning 18. Along with these certifications, each youth was accepted into the Big Picture Learning Harbor Freight Fellows program, where they received $500 and will continue their educational journey.

From July 27th to July 30th youth from across California attended the 2024 California PAL Life After High School conference; where they received training to help them navigate applying for college, getting a job, finances, life skills, and so much more! The California PAL State Cup Championship Soccer Tournament has concluded! Congratulations to all of the 70 teams that competed and played their hearts out this weekend! Special congratulations to Oxnard PAL for the first place win in the U14 Boys division and City of Santa Paula Parks & Recreation Department for the first place win in the U17 Boys division. Last but certainly not least, we would like to thank City of Oxnard Government and Oxnard PAL for allowing us to host this tournament in your wonderful city!
Keep up the hard work teams, and we will see you again next year!

Nor Cal SUP and California PAL are happy to share an exciting opportunity! As a part of the Nor Cal SUP Community Outreach program, Nor Cal SUP is providing access to underserved youth in the area and teaches water safety through the sport of paddle boarding. This community outreach event will be first come, first serve.

USA Archery and the California Police Activities League are excited to share the 2024 Explore Archery Grant Application.
This grant administered by USA Archery, was made possible thanks to generous contributions by The Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA) and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).
The goal is to expand archery into new communities across the United States, to recruit diverse instructors and to grow archery in urban and suburban areas.
Through this grant, USA Archery will provide USA Archery Level 2 certification to archery instructors located in urban and suburban areas. Select recipients will also receive equipment and program materials to help support the start-up of a new Explore Archery Program.
USA Archery is committed to providing support and education opportunities to individuals who represent diverse communities to advance diversity and inclusivity in the sport.
Interested coaches may access the grant information here. Applicants should read the requirements for each event in full prior to completing the application. The deadline to apply will be June 15.

The registration ENTRY DEADLINE will be: MONDAY, JUNE 10th, 2024 at 11:59PM
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Registration for this tournament will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for the event or certain divisions may close prior to June 10th deadline if the tournament fills up.
The tournament fee will be $300.00 per team.

We are proud to be partners in the California PAL, LiUNA Youth Apprenticship Readiness Accelerator program, bringing workforce development opportunities to the youth of California.
Over the last four days, hosted the Annual Youth Mentoring and Leadership Academy in Sacramento for over 120 youth from across California. The youth experienced in-depth leadership training and got the chance to participate in the Legislative Process by meeting with their senators and assembly members and touring the California State Capitol!
