Welcome back to school!!! We are looking forward to seeing you all on Monday, November 28th. We are back to our regular schedule and are celebrating with wearing our comfy clothes! So roll out of bed and come to school in pjs or comfy clothes!!

All K-5 students are dismissed at 10:55am Monday, November 14th-Friday, November 18th! Bridges will be open all week except for Friday, November 18th, No Bridges! Don’t forget to schedule a conference for your child with their teacher!

A huge thank you to student council for planning a wonderful Red Ribbon week for Whitney Avenue. ❤️ It was so fun to see Whitney Wildcats dressed up and pledging to be drug free.❗️

Whitney will be recognizing Red Ribbon week the 24th-28th. Red Ribbon Week is a prevention awareness campaign. The campaign’s message is to be drug free and encouraged youth to make positive and healthy choices. The pictures attached to this post show what our dress up days will be. FACE mobile will be coming to Whitney on October 14th from 1-3pm. They will be providing free resources to Whitney families. The free resources include educational resources, emergency food, diapers, employment opportunities and more. We hope to see lots of families there!

The kindergartners had the best time at the pumpkin patch today. 🌽🌾🐖We can’t wait to see more field trips throughout the school year.

PAWS monthly shout out for September: Sadaf has been chosen as our student to be recognized in Mrs. Love-Aguilar’s fourth-grade class by a majority vote. Students shared that Sadaf is “always nice and follows directions,” “always does her work,” “participates with classmates and during class,” and “listens well.” She has demonstrated the character trait of the month, cooperation, by working with her table mates, helping others, and contributing to class discussions for the good of not just herself, but our entire class. Great job Sadaf!
