In order to support y’all through this transition, we will be hosting 30-minute support sessions following each Nuts & Bolts workshop - Got questions? Need that 1:1 hands-on support? WE SEE YOU.

Fall 24 Club Days Lottery Contracts will open TOMORROW AT 8AM!!!!!!

Be sure to attend Club Days Lottery on Thursday, August 15th at 1pm vis for a chance to table at Club Days! 

What do you need to do?

Step 1. One member should complete the Club Days contract by August 14th to be able to enter the lottery, the link is available in the LinkTree in our Bio.
*To avoid duplicate contracts for clubs, communicate between members on who will be submitting the contract and who is attending the day of the Lottery.*
 
Organizations will select booth spots based on the order of registration forms that we receive by the deadline in step 1
 
Step 2. One member needs to attend Booth Lottery on Thursday, August 15th at 1pm via zoom to select their club’s spot

Q: What did the new leader that wasn’t transitioned say to their advisor?

A: I don’t know what I’m doing

It started off as a joke, but turns out, this is all so true for many officers of our 300+ clubs/organizations.

Any new officer position can feel exciting & intimidating, all at the same time. While an outgoing officer can begin to feel that sense of freedom again but feeling slight overprotective of all the work they put into their officer role.

Sound familiar, again? Ya, you and about 1,925,362,929+ other officers.

Don’t sweat it, it’s only 24 days until graduation 😅 and WE GOT YOU.

Join us on Monday, May 6th at 12pm in the Green & Gold Room {3rd Floor, University Union} for a play by play on just how to produce a successful officer transition.

Update for Club Days Tabling!
 
The CFA have ended their strike last night after a resolution was reached in the contract negotiations. Some organizations chose to begin tabling the second week of classes due to the possibility to a full first week of strikes this semester. Each club has a spot reserved for them, so they are welcome to set up early or still wait until next week. Tabling is still open through the third week of classes and it’s the clubs decision if they decide to pack up early. 
 
We understand these are frustrating time with changes seemingly everyday, so we hope we can provide some stability of what was originally planned in three full weeks of tabling with allowing you all the flexibility to make decision that work for you club.

Hey Hornet!
We want to let you know that the Last Day of Drop-Ins this semester will be Thursday, Dec 14, 2023, and will resume again on Monday January 22, 2024 (First Day of the Spring Semester).

The SOAL Office will be closed from December 22, 2023, to January 2, 2024 for Holiday Break.

SOAL Staff will be around to assist students for the rest of Winter Break.

Homecoming is around the corner, and that means the annual Homecoming Golf Cart Parade is too!

Golf cart decorating and the subsequent Golf Cart Parade is Saturday, October 28th.

Deadline is Monday, October 16th at 11:59pm!

If you are an officer of a currently recognized student organization, don’t forget you have until Sept 30th to get your club renewed. We have 3 more offerings of Nuts & Bolts before that deadline and JUST ADDED another workshop date for those who need to attend via Zoom (the zoom session requires pre-registration).

New clubs and those returning from being inactive from a semester or more have until Oct 15th and there are an additional two dates of Nuts & Bolts for you that we will post online toward the end of the month.
