When Cathi looks back, her works are breadcrumbs left behind along the road she’s traveled, showing where she’s been and where she still needs to go.

Cathi grew up in Southern California, where, as a teen she painted scenes on store windows for extra money. As a former zoo keeper, her work with animals has lovingly informed her art.

Cathi studied drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and ceramic arts at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA, at American River College in Sacramento, CA, and at Southern Utah University.

In 2004, Cathi began apprenticing with master potter Darlene Beverlin and has since developed her own aesthetic and voice. In 2011, she began transitioning from functional pottery to sculptural ceramics, of which her monsters delight the masses.

She has shown in dozens of exhibitions, has received many awards, and was a founding member of Sidestreet Arts Gallery in Portland, OR.

Electric, whimsical, and humorous, Cathi’s work continues to inspire those who witness it!

These artists commune on Saturday mornings to discuss diverse topics and events, to challenge themselves and each other, to learn, and to create.
