A big congratulations to SWC member Mojave Water Agency on the completion of their Deep Creek Hydroelectric Project. Hydropower is contributing to California's clean energy future by helping to reduce GHG emissions and provide greater energy grid reliability at a time when we need it most.

This project has brought MWA close to at attaining a net neutral status in its energy consumption — a byproduct that will save the Agency millions of dollars over the next 30 years and provide numerous environmental benefits.

SWC today issued a letter to the Delta Stewardship Council expressing its opinion that California WaterFix is consistent with the Delta Plan. SWC supports the Dept. of Water Resources (DWR) Certification of Consistency for WaterFix, which was supported by substantial evidence and should be upheld. https://bit.ly/2PuZ3lW
