Biblical FOUNDATION:

The Great Commandments (Mark 12:29-31) and Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20 are the biblical commands that serve as the foundation for our existence:

Love your neighbor as yourself.

Go and make disciples of all nations.

Baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.

AFFLIATIONS:

Valley Hi Covenant Church belongs to the family of the Evangelical Covenant Church of America, a denomination headquartered in Chicago, IL that holds to the affirmations of historic Christianity. Regionally, we are part of the Pacific Southwest Conference whose purpose is to help each local church "effectively fulfill Christ's mission in its unique setting." Together we share our commitment to the following:

The centrality of Scriptures

The necessity of new life in Jesus Christ

A commitment to the whole mission of the Church

The church as a fellowship of believers

A conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit

The reality of freedom in Christ

We want to reach the Valley Hi Community and the greater South Sacramento County area for Christ. We believe God has called us to be a part of this community to serve our neighbors, to build relationships that transcend culture, ethnicity and class and to offer an invitation to know the True Love that only comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
