Cedar Ridge Farm PNW
We are a 5 acre farm in Washougal, Washington. We raise chickens, goats, our 3 sons, and enjoy playing in the dirt.
Please let us know if you would like to purchase Farm Fresh Eggs!
Fall on the Farm
Some of our hens think that laying eggs in the goats hay bin is super fun! Me, not so much! I don't prefer finding broken eggs in the goat's stall.
The hens have a huge bucket filled with straw in their stall for them to lay their eggs in but they keep choosing the goats hay. 🤦🏽♀️Go figure! 😄
Beautiful evening in the PNW! Just splendid!
Joining our farm today - 7 nigerian goats! We are excited and nervous for this new adventure.
Lots of animals live on the farm, including garter snakes. Not gonna lie - I don't like snakes, but these babies help control the field mice and voles. We let him go on his merry way.
What's been going on at the farm?
Prepping for our goats (those massive spools will be made into a goat playground), mowing fields, enclosed garden is still in progress (🤞🏼 I can plant a fall garden), and blackberries everywhere (some are even ready to be picked).
Local friends - Farmfresh eggs (in cartons) for sale - porch pick up at the farm.
A dozen - $3
18 ct. - $4.50
2 dozen - $6
Send us a message to schedule your pick up time.
* We also have one more opening for a weekly or bimonthly regular pickup. Please let us know if you are interested.
The barn kitties were exploring outside yesterday. They are getting used to the farm and the dogs but still haven't made friends with the chickens. (We want them to realize that our chickens are friends not food! Haha.)
They especially like the ornamental grasses off the front porch.
Look out moles, voles, field mice and weasels - the Cedar Ridge kitties are learning the ropes.
Blackberries are one of my favorite berries and although their vines can become invasive the fruit is absolutely delicious! Another month and these will be ready to harvest! I can't wait!
We added this cutie pie to our family! His name is Ollie! Our dogs are still trying to figure him out!
We will soon be welcoming 7 goats to the farm! We can't wait!
I am often the one behind the camera but I couldn't resist sharing the joy that was captured on my face in this picture!
Walking the land, caring for animals and watching things grow brings me such peace and joy!

This sweet hen layed her first egg today. She kept looking at it as though she were confused how it got there. We love times like these on the farm.
Free-range chicken eggs available for porch pick up at the farm. $3 a dozen, $4.50 for an 18 count, and $6 for 2 dozen. Just message us the quantity and we will set up your pickup date and time.
Enjoying a peaceful moment on the farm. It has been a busy week with lots of weeding, mowing, and cleaning around the property. Today, we get to rest and enjoy this beautiful PNW day!
We've been busy on the farm! Like many families, we have been finding our rhythm with distance learning (4 more weeks of school in the PNW), work schedules, family fun and projects around the farm.
My husband and our farmboys worked really hard on the treehouse (we'll give you a tour soon). It even has electricity!
We are also in the process of building raised garden boxes, enclosing our garden and turning the previous chicken coop into a greenhouse. We are a cutting it close for this season but we plan to plant a fall garden. We should be getting dirt and crushed gravel this coming week.
We are doing well and hope that wherever you are you are able to find the good around you!
Apple blossoms are in full bloom and they are stunning!
Lots of things seem to be growing quickly this spring...the grass , the weeds, this pup's fur!
Hair cuts for dogs and farm hands 💇🏽♂️ this next week along with mowing 🚜 and weeding the flower beds🌷.
Farm Boy #3 found this nest of baby bunnies! Our dog, Chewy, was also "helping" and knocked this one out of the nest. We put this little one back. Now we have to keep the pups away so they can grow. Lots of fun things to find on the farm
Beautiful day on the farm today! This beauty enjoyed forging in the fields.
Well hello there chickens! They were awfully curious about the hole we put into the side of their coop. Don't worry ladies you now have an electric door opener! Wahoo!!!
Homemade chocolate and maple glazed donuts today on the farm. We also had powdered sugared donut holes.
Buffy (the Buff Orpington hen) checking out the chicks in their new brooder run.
Grateful to my hubby, Farmboy #1, Farmboy #2, and Farmboy #3 for their help with the remodel in the chicken coop. I will be painting it next week and then will post more pictures.
Dutch doors? Yes please! It's a beautiful day in the PNW which means it's a perfect day to let some fresh air in!
Worked around the farm today and now our day is winding down with a paint night. I'm trying to learn how to watercolor.
What are some things you have done today?
Seeds were planted today with help from our second oldest Farmboy.
Deer fencing and garden boxes should be going in within the next few weeks. Getting excited to have our first garden here at the farm!
As we find ourselves socially distancing ourselves in our neck of the woods, our family will be reaching out, via technology, to say "hi" to family, friends and neighbors and to see if they have everything they need. Wouldn't it be awesome if we all looked for ways to reach out and lift each other up (from a safe distance)?
Our state just closed schools for 6 weeks! We are making our "to do" lists and our "fun" lists and they both include lots of outdoor adventure time on the farm.
Isn't she lovely? Kimber is a gentle, playful and loving dog to her peeps. However, she is an anxious pup and needs space and her own terms to warm up to new people. We love her, even when she's barky!
