The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently declared a global health emergency due to the spread of MPOX across more than a dozen African countries. Although the outbreak currently seems confined to these regions, there is significant concern about potential international spread.

Individuals at risk for MPOX who have neither recovered from the illness nor been previously vaccinated are strongly encouraged to receive the two-dose vaccine. At this time, no booster doses are recommended.

You can receive your free MPOX vaccines at Pucci's Pharmacy until the end of September. Visit puccirx.com to make an appointment. These free vaccines will expire at the end of September, and will not be available for free after September unless your insurance covers the cost.

Pucci's Pharmacy will also be at our Center on September 1st, from 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. alongside free HIV testing. If you're planning on attending Rainbow Fest, you can gain free admission by getting your HIV test done at the Center.

HIV Testing & MPOX Vaccinations
When: September 1st, 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Where: 1015 20th St., Sacramento CA 95811
Walk-Ins Only

Happy Juneteenth! 🎉✊🏿

Today we celebrate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and honor their resilience and struggle for equality. June 19th comes as an opportunity to recognize how far we've come and renew the passion to keep fighting for progress for both Black Americans and q***r folks.

📣 Center Closure Notice: In observance of Juneteenth, our center will be closed today. We encourage you to engage in local Juneteenth events and activities within our community to honor this day.

My Pride Is Black, My Juneteenth Is Q***r 06/19/2024

My Pride Is Black, My Juneteenth Is Q***r The celebration of Pride and Juneteenth offers an opportunity for reflection on intersecting identities and highlights the need to support and make space for Black LGBTQ youth.

Though we celebrate Pride 365 days a year, today marks the beginning of Pride month! This month, the world activates to uplift, educate, and celebrate all things LGBTQIA+. In the wake of hateful anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, showing up for Pride has continued to send the message of love. We hope to see you share your joy at Sacramento Pride this year and remember that the Center will remain a safe space if you or someone you know is need of resources.

Visit saccenter.org for all of the Center's resources and information including sexual health resources, HIV/STI testing, mental health resources, housing assistance, support groups, and more. Visit sacramentopride.org to view details of the festival and march on June 8 & 9! Happy Pride!

Sacramento Pride is officially this year, with our new initiative to reduce landfill waste by 50%! As an attendee, your help is critical in our goal to be the greenest Pride festival in the nation. How are we doing this?

🎪 Booth exhibitors, food and beverage vendors, Center-led festival activations, and Pride March contingents have agreed to waste reduction and sustainability guidelines

♻️ Sacramento Pride Festival is eliminating non-recyclable single-use plastics everywhere possible – including single use water bottles, food and beverage service ware, and ‘swag’ being distributed by exhibitors.

💦 The festival will feature multiple complimentary water refill stations, and encourages guests to bring their empty reusable water containers or purchase an aluminum bottle at a beverage station.

🗑️ Bins will have more visual identifiers, with signage and different color bags that are associated with that they are (💙 blue recycle, 💚 green organic, 🖤 black landfill)

Keep following for more information about our initiative, and read the guidelines at sacramentopride.org
