Marigolds for the Movement emerged from the need for ethically sourced marigolds for Dia de Los Mu***os. We believe our ancestors deserve to be honored with intention, and that everyone has the right to connect with cempasuchil. Our goal is to connect people with the sacred flower by encouraging others to build relationships with the plant and to grow them, whether with us or in their own spaces.
We want to continue the legacy of our ancestors by learning from our plant relatives and incorporating their wisdom into our practices. Our relationship with the cempasuchil is deeply rooted in traditions, rituals, ceremonies, recipes and our cultural ways that honor both the land and our heritage. We are keeping our ancestral wisdom alive by sharing our stories, our collective knowledge, our relationships, and our experiences. Through marigolds for the movement, we aim to cultivate a deeper connection to our history, our roots and our community.

The Shed Sessions, a weekly event Lead by Daniel J Owens and Joey Archie, the shed sessions is a way to learn jazz, one tune at a time.
In Jazz, to shed means to do focused practicing to improve oneself. And in that tradition, we will learn tunes by listening to important recordings, learning lyrics, original keys, learning the tune by ear, learning the scales/chords, playing in all keys, learning famous solos and more.
The shed sessions is a way to meet and learn from other musicians, about the history of jazz, and play the music. The Tunes are a list of frequently called tunes at jam sessions and college auditions.
