Dreyfuss + Blackford Architecture

Recently, the Sutter Health Roseville MOB 7 project team in partnership with Sutter Health and the AIACentral Valley AAH committee hosted a hard hat tour of the project space. This facility is almost 100,000 SF broken up over two phases and will serve Sutter’s Graduate Medical Education program. Both folks from D+B and Sutter Health were in attendance and had a great afternoon seeing the progress of this exciting project!

As of July 1st, Dreyfuss + Blackford will be saying goodbye to one of our dedicated leaders: Scott Shannon. With nearly four decades in the profession, including over 14 years at D+B, Scott departs leaving a legacy defined by his steadfast commitment to the practice and forward-thinking guidance. Sutter Roseville Medical Center Campus' Medical Office Building 7 blends existing campus design elements with modern features through the inclusion of a curtain wall and textured façade elements. Once completed this building will serve as a learning HUB for Sutter Health's Graduate Medical Education Program and will add to the campus's conference, office, and clinic spaces for outpatient services.

It was a great event that celebrated our team’s collaborative work with the School of Engineering and Computer Science, and coincidentally, it's National Engineers Week.

Yesterday, the D+B team toured the manufacturing location of Bagatelos Architectural Glass. The founder and CEO Chris Bagatelos showed a few of us around the facility, focusing on the cutting, punching, glazing, and aluminum fabrication of their storefront and curtain wall systems. The handcrafted product as well as the attention to detail that goes into every product Bagatelos designs and produces was very impressive!

Yesterday, D+B team members Jason Silva, Samuel Lang, and Brent Bumbaca enjoyed spending the evening engaging with the next generation of A/E/C professionals at the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo College of Architecture and Environmental Design (CAED) Career Fair.

A few of our key D+B team members attended the Deltek ProjectCon Conference in Orlando, FL last week and returned to the office with some in-depth knowledge and key resources related to Vantagepoint and its capabilities in staffing, business development, and project management. Our D+B team members were so excited to play in DPR's 8th Annual Co****le Classic Tournament last Friday at Sutter Heart Health Park. This year's tournament benefits Wellspring Women's Center, a nonprofit that provides barrier-free access to life-saving essentials for women and their children in a loving and hospitable. Thanks DPR for inviting to such a fun event!

Yesterday a few of D+B’s best and brightest attended the 2023 Women in Construction Conference at the SAFE Convention Center. Women make up only 10.3 percent of those working in the built environment and we are proud to have some of the best in the business representing D+B! Our D+B team members Amy Eliot, Design Principal and Tabitha Pontino, Interior Designer, were excited to join Dean Elizabeth Orwin of the School of Engineering and Computer Science, former deans, key project donors and supporters at the University of Pacific Wine, Cheese, and Hard Hats reception and tour last Thursday to see the progress made on the Fletcher Jones Makerspace project.
